Up-to-Date interior, interesting details, club room funcioned well, wonderful views from the room and club floor.
Maybe the location is not very optimal (no MTR near) although the tram is close.
We stayed 4 nights in the Jen Room which was fantastic value for money. The room may not be big but it is chic with design-like details. Our room was located on the 27th floor and the view was fabulous. Club floor was also very nice and the service just as it's supposed to be (we also received 10€ minibar "voucher per day" which was a nice touch). Check in and check out were handled in a minute. Breakfast was good although not as plentiful as in 5 star old style hotels. The only downside is the location which means that MTR is not near. There is however a tram which runs often and is just a short walk from the hotel. I would certainly recommend this hotel especially for young-minded people who like the design atmosphere.
Hotel Feature Tip : Swimming pool on the 28th floor is a must (weather permitting).

Inexpensive room with a lovely harbour view, helpful staff - nothing was a problem, Happy hour (or 2 hours) with free drinks was a nice surprise, included breakfast was very pleasant, shuttle bus to main areas was efficient and frequent, being in the heart of old style Hong Kong was great.
You had to plan your trip, and couldn't just pop back to leave your shopping bags, although a taxi ride was pretty cheap (even if you had to explain where the hotel was)
I knew this place was outside the main tourist areas, and that was one of the things that appealed to me, as well as the price which was excellent. Unless you stay at the most expensive hotels in Hong Kong, you'll always find you need some sort of transport to get around. In this case, you have the free shuttle that leaves at reasonably frequent times (in my case they were all absolutely suitable) and goes to the main centres from where you can get most places. So you don't always have to take a taxi. I enjoyed the breakfast - nicer than in most large hotels, and on 28th floor overlooking the harbour, a delight. The happy hour drinks were free, which left me nicely relaxed for the evening. I had free internet connection, which was a nice surprise, and when I had some laundry done, I even got a discount. Apart from the original room cost, it didn't cost another cent apart from the dry cleaning. And the room was comfortable - maybe would be a bit small for two, but perfect for one. I'll definitely go back.
Restaurant Tip : Turn right outside the front door, and walk up the hill a little way. You'll see the Ka Kee restaurant on your right. They do have English menus, and absolutely wonderful food. It's a very Chinese family experience - much nicer than the restaurants in shopping malls.

Great location, lovely decor, lots of Nina Simone, pool open to 10pm
Time on the computers is charged in blocks of 1 hour only - far too long and costly for a quick email check.
Great modern decor, lovely unobtrusive service. Located in a old part of the island, you get a feel of non-western hong kong. Rooms are light and although not huge, you do not feel cramped. Did not eat in the restaurants, but the food looked good.
Restaurant Tip : I loved just turning to the left of the building and getting chilli noodles for HK$5 for breakfast. If you go to the restaurant directly across from the door, you can get a great shrip wonton noodle soup and a beer for HK$23.
Des Voeux road is a block away and you can hop on a tram and travel as far as North Point or Happy Valley for a mere HK$2. Slow, but a great experience. If you are desperate in the early hours of the morning, there is a 24 hour McDonalds next to the hotel. Just down the road is a foot massage place that is open to midnight. Good if you have jetlag.
