Excellent hotel in New Territories

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Sha Tin on an overnight transit with an early next day flight. The hotel is located approximately 30 minutes away from Hong Kong International Airport. The hotel itself is very new, contains all facilities/services expected from a 5 star hotel in Hong Kong. Very happy to stay here again, provided I don't need to be on HK Island/Kowloon as it's a bit of a distance away.

Nice sports facility to spend time with kids, especially the swimming pool, near MTR station and it's convenient to go to everywhere in HK, we stay 2 night and visit a lot of place. Beach, Disney land, shopping mall.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Convenient to go to Sai gong, there are a lot of thing to discover

Nice facility and good location

location is great right next to mtr station. of course open seaview with sunset is much better than mountain view. the room is big and clean. swimming pool in four lanes and and a separate hot water jacuzzi.

really pleasantly surprised at our stay here. room was very clean and modern, bed linen of good quality and bed comfortable. we had a stunning view from our room on the 13th floor. location was excellent as we were heading into china through lo wu. closest mtr is university, 5 mins easy walk from the hotel - a definite plus! shuttle bus very convenient into sha tin centre/mall and downtown to other hyatt. i definitely recommend this hotel and would have liked to have stayed longer. next time...

a good place for a weekend getaway inside the city

we spent a weekend there for a within-the-city-getaway....the outdoor swimming pool is great with the big pool size and the good maintenance. another selling point at this place is its fabulous chinese eatery "shatin 18" which serves genuine authentic beijing style roast duck, plus many authentic traditional cantonese cuisine. a surprise came at the end of the meal when we were ordering the dessert. the dessert menu is comprehensive and innovative for a chinese eatery....highly recommended.

I planned to have a weekend rest in a hotel having a proper swimming pool, having search for awhile and have chosen this hotel which is near to the university station. It is definitely the best choice among hotels in the city area. The price is reasonable and the room is big and clean. The view is great too.

Beautiful hotel and great value for money

The hotel is quite far outside and it takes approx. 45 min-1 hr to get to Hong Kong island. If you have the time, then it is worth staying in the hotel. The hotel is very luxurious and it is nice being a bit outside of noisy town. The rooms are cheaper than any budget places close to main island.

For value in HK, it's definitely ok, location is right by the train station so getting around is convenient. You definitely get a lot more space than you would for the same price in other parts of the city.

A true 5 Star Proprty

positive:
true 5 star hotel in an excellent location near the chinese university. the regency club facilities on the 25th floor are worth booking. the complimentary evening cocktail includes unlimited good wine. the staff are extremely helpful. bicycles can be hired, and cycle tracks are nearby.
negative:
there is quite a bit of smog in hong kong, but much more in the centre than at sha tin.
