Magnificent View, Wondeful place to Stay
The Harbour view is truly magnificent. The room is wonderful and comfortable
8.7
We just came from our 2 nights stay in Macau and we went to Hongkong for an R n R after losing some RMB. Frankly, Hyatt Sha Tin is really out of the way from major shopping centers and even from the HKIA. It is more part of a university campus because the universtiies are nearby like outside the front door.
Nevertheless,as what I said if you simply want to relax and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the metro downtown just stay in this wonderful place. New hotel at sensible in hotel rate. Truly Hyatt in service and quality.
We got the Harbour view in their club floors. We enjoyed the cocktail plus the magnificent view of Sha Tin Harbour while drinking wine.
Travel tip:
Get the Harbour view room and you will enjoy it.

Everything was great but the price for there breakfast, and the house keeping was below any hotel i have stayed in. I made this known when i checked out i was afraid of any repucution i might get if i said anything during my stay. All they said is they were sorry and they would let someone know of my disapointment
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:

Hotel away from the city with awesome view
10
As with all Hyatt Hotels, the standard and quality was high, and the staff helpful and polite.
Was offered an upgrade to a Harbour View room , and it was worth every penny. The view was awesome in the day, and even more beautiful at night.
Hotel is located a mere 2 min walk from the University MTR station, and a 15 minute drive away from the Lantau Cable Car and the airport.
There were some convenience shops at the MTR station. You can also take 2 stops on the MTR station to Sha Tin, where there is a huge shopping station offering greats brands, a supermarket, and many restaurants.
You can also take a morning or evening walk to the harbour.
All in all a great hotel. Would definitely want to stay in this hotel again :)
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The HK train service is very extensive and convenient, making it easy and affordable to get from one place to another. You can also easily get to Shen Zhen and Macau or day trips or stayovers, to get the most out of your trip.

A modern hotel outside of central Hong Kong
Clean hotel with modern facilities
5.3
I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. When I arrived, I took me 50 min to check in as there were a lot of people waiting to check in and the reception desk clearly couldn't handle this process properly. When I finally arrived to the check-in desk, I wasn't offered anything to somehow compensate me for this long waiting, even though I was 25 min late for my meeting because of waiting to check in. On my last day I have book a wake-up call as I had to wake up early and leave for airport, however, I didn't receive any call and the reception desk couldn't even find the booking.
The location is not good if you have any meetings in downtown HK as it takes about an hour and 3 different MTR lines to reach Central station. Also, it is disastrous for any shopping - there are no shops around, not even a small supermarket, and you have to travel two stops on MTR to get to a shopping mall to buy food. I don't recommend this hotel.

Although need to wait for the room ready, we got free room upgrade with super good service there! Clean and comfortable room with nice harbour view. It is near university with a supermarket there and free shuttle bus to Sha Tin station and Tsim Sha Tsiu. Really five far standard hotel and highly recommend!

Charming hotel in the suburb
In suburb yet very convenient
7.3
Probably the best hotel outside of main Hong Kong area. Not expensive and convenient traffic.
Shopping Tip:
There is basically nothing to see and shop nearby. But just one shuttle bus away is the biggest mall in the New Territories.

Cosy atmosphere in the big city
The water views, the service team, attitude towards problem solving for working solutions, just being kind,
9.7
I stayed in the Hyatt Regency in Sha Tin for 3 nights and with all my business travels certainly one of the best hotels I have used over the last 24 months.. A super team from the check in desk to all the different service areas, with delicious food, excellent & thankyou chefs.
It is so worth a try despite not be in the hub center of Hong Kong Island.. I will go back for certain..
