very nice & big room with harbour view
i enjoy my holiday with the nice room and swimming pool here..will be back again

we enjoyed our holiday with a nice harbour view room. room rental was reasonable..with such a big room and we have ordered room service...just made a call and we enjoy our pizza and pasta in our room...what a great evening ! ! swimming pool was great too !!!
only one thing we encountered was disappointed which was we can't get our room until 13:15..we knew we arrived early...( 12:10pm ) but we saw many foreigner can get in to their room without delay..except us...as we are local people?!!!

take the mtr (with daily tourist pass of hkg 55) to travel to and from the island city - about 20 minutes away.

First class hotel in a safe environment
we were given city view which was panoramic. big room and bathroom. clean and concierge are very professional

hotel is far but very convenient bec of the MTR. cheap compared to the others but rooms are great. best value for my money. the view from our room is spectacular. only problem is the buffet price. they should lower the price. Buffet in las vegas are just a fraction of what they are charging at HK$280 and HK$330.

a bit far but if you kow how to use the mtr it is very convenient.

Break from the heat

our reason for staying at the hyatt at sha tin was to get out of hk central for a day or two and to swim in the hotel pool as the humidity in hk during august is incredible! otherwise it seemed like there's not a great deal to do right near the hotel unless you are local, a student as there's a university or on business although it's only 2 train stops (back towards central) to be in sha tin though where there is plenty to see and do). the hotel pool was beautiful and large enough that adults weren't splashed/annoyed by all of the kids in it! the hotel cafe (buffet and a la carte) seemed pricey for what you got in comparison to the hotel restaurant, sha tin 18, where we had fantastic peking duck. one tip to be aware of is that the 2-4-1 cocktails in the tin tin bar are a minimum of 1 drink per person so you need to have a minimum of 2 drinks per person to get one free. we had booked for a mountain view room but ended up having a view of the harbour, which is not all that attractive during the day anyway but quite pretty when lit up at night. the hotel patisserie was the highlight - nice coffee and amazing looking cakes - we tried some of the danish pastries and they were lovely. we didn't get round to trying the sha tin apple pie which seemed to be the hotel specialty and looked delicious.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Hong Kong Heritage Museum in Sha Tin is well worth a visit.

it's located in a quite area, not so convenient if you want to have shopping, the room is just fine, with confortable bed, standard equipment, just the distance and place need to consider if you want to stay here

Elegant hotel with spacious rooms

the rooms are spacious and clean, beds very comfortable. this hotel is located near an mtr station so it is very convenient to come and go, especially if you intend to visit mainland china. we only stayed one night at this hotel, but definitely would stay longer had our schedule permitted. we would recommend this hotel to other travelers who are looking for accommodations in the sha tin area.

very nice hotel

While some might think the hotel is far actually it is nearby the metro station that can bring you easily to Mongkok East or Hung Hom stations. after for the rest it is very nice from rooms, to dinner, swimming pool to service.
