comfortable stay in the outskirt of Hong Kong

We stayed again at Shatin Hyatt for a night's family gathering. We picked its quiet location and made use of the spacious facilities and delicious buffet. My brother's family has young children and mine are older. The kids enjoyed swimming and hanging out inside the hotel and we didn't have to go out to other places. A nice bonus is upon check-in, the front desk immediately upgraded me to a deluxe room which was incredibly spacious. That made my stay extra relaxing-the whole purpose of the trip.

Although the hotel is a bit far from Hong Kong Island, the rail service is right next to the hotel, relatively quick and easy to navigate. The rooms are reasonably priced for Hong Kong and a good value. The food is varied and excellent quality. However there are no local choices for eating and all hotel options are very expensive which takes away from the good value of the rooms. The pool, tubs, sauna, steam room and fitness center are excellent. Good, long scenic bike path next to hotel.

Great. Except they offered and upgrade on our room to a suite and we didn't understand the costs involved so ended up paying more than we wanted to though the room was nice.

The suite was well worth the upgrade and the view was fabulous, especially at night. The hotel is far from the main area of Kowloon but the hotel has shuttle service.

Hyatt are always good of course, this one also

Nothing special to say; good hotel, with metro easy access to Hongkong.
We liked to have space and not to be 24 hours a day in
traffic.
Restaurant Tip:
There are thousands nice restaurants, amazing!

Great Hotel

Located just next to University MTR station for convenience. Given a smoking room by mistake, and immediately upgraded to a suite. Very nice. Excellent breakfast on the 25th floor. Staff are friendly and professional. Distance might be slightly too far from city center, but there's a very large mall in Sha Tin MTR station that suffices. Very satisfied stay.
