I went with my gf, the service counter is very helpful and provide some tips on transportation. We booked a city view double bed room, but we got a room with clear view of the harbor.
Strongly recommend!!
ps. make sure to book the airport shuttle a day before leaving.

Lovely and new hotel with a great location

My stay was surprisingly pleasant and I really enjoyed myself staying at Ibis Sheung Wan. The room decor was great and facilities were complete. This hotel is suitable for business travellers and also families too. Highly recommended!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is near Sheung Wan Shun Tak Centre with ferries to Macau.

The ibis is a new hotel easy to spot from a distance as its one of the tallest buildings in that part of the city and has the name prominently on top. Excellent value for quality of room and dining options and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Location is very good. You can walk to the sheung wan metro or the ferry landings in 10 to 15 minutes and the tram stops just outside the hotel. The area is interesting as its the centre for Chinese medicine staples so lots of stores selling non PCM items such as sharks fin and birds nest etc.

Great view of Harbour
The Kowloon harbour view from the room is great, great location for its price

The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from Sheung Wan MTR station, give or take 5 min depend on walking speed. Central MTR station is a bit further but still within walkable distance. But the best way for us was to take a Tram. It run in straight line directly pass Central and Causeway Bay, you'll see an overview of Hongkong for just 2.30 dollars. You just need to choose the correct Tram that take you the farthest , some stop too soon. As for hotel stuff, they were very helpful friendly. However during the time I check in there were many customer so I need to wait almost half an hour. Besides that, everything was great.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take the Tram in front of the hotel, it cost 2.30 per person and run a straight line pass many of downtown Hongkong such as Central , Wanchai and Causeway Bay.

It's Not In Central.

This is a spanking new hotel. Eventhough the name states Central, it is not located in Central, actually in Sheung Wan next to Central. Sheung Wan is the last MTR Station on the Island Line, after Central. The MTR Station itself is 5-7 minutes walk from the hotel. There is the Tram line & Bus Stops right outside the Entrance. If coming or going from the Airport Express Train, just wait at the Stop next to the entrance and take the free shuttle to/from Central Station (IFC).It will save you about HK$ 45.00.
The area surrounding the Hotel is full of shops selling dried seafood, Birds Nest, Ginseng,etc.
Plenty of good food around. On my walkabout, I see at least 4 Michelin recommended eating places.

Second time to stay in Ibis ...such a nice hotel and great location. My husband like Hollywood road and Central area,Soho just nearby,great for restaurant and clubbing,even can walk back to the hotel from there,sure we ll stay there if next time we r in HK.
