I got lucky this time when I stay at Island Pacific Hotel because they gave me executive room on 29th floor with a fantastic view due to other normal room was full, so I m quite happy with a room which provide proper things, just a bit far to walk to place to eat , subway and shopping center

Very close to the ferry terminal to Macau and also to IFC where you can take the airport express. Nice view of the harbour and ocean.
About 15 min walk to the nearest MTR station
This is my 2nd stay at Island Pacific. Overall a pleasant experience, especially the staff at the conceriage. Very friendly, helpful and energetic. There's a supermarket just up the street as well as a few porridge/noodle shops.

a little far from the MTR stop
Island Pacific is a very good hotel.Though it is a little far from the shopping centers, it is still convenient if you would go to any place of Hongkong. And you can get a newspaper every morning!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : very nearby to the port if you would go to Macau either.

Near LKF, fantastic customer service, near ATM, near McDonald's, near 7-11.
Far from the train station (need to ride a taxi), no breakfast.
We didn't have a hotel the moment we arrived in HK so we had to book at Agoda on the day itself and we were lucky that Island Pacific had rooms for the time we'd be there. I can't get enough of the customer service of the people in this hotel - it was fantastic which is hard to come by in a country like hong kong. I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Cleanliness of the room, well maintained. friendly and helpful staffs.
Location took about 15 minute walk from MTR station, quite a long walk especially druing night.
Island Pacific Hotel Hong Kong(IPH)'s facilities are well maintained with good cleanliness, friendly and helpful staffs. The neighbourhood shops mainly selling dry seafood stuffs and chinese herbs. This's the one location shoppers cannot be miss out. The IPH location near to the harbour easy for those who want to travel to Macau. However during night, the surrounding area a litte bit too quiet as all the shops close after night fall. Quite isolated if you take at least 15 minutes walk from nearest Sheun Wan MTR station.
Shopping Tip : Nearby neighbourhood full of dry seafood shops, Chinese herbs/ Chinese traditional medicine shops.

Friendly, efficient staff.
Competative prices.
Good pool and gymnasium
A little way from the main shopping area.
In room refreshments from mini bar very expensive.
Rooms on the small side
I stayed two nights at the Island Pacific and would happily return. The hotel is about 15 minutes on foot from the main shopping area and the tram passes to the rear of the hotel with the closest stop about 150 meters away. The prices compare well with other hotels of a similar standard. I found the staff friendly and helpful at all times. I arrived at the hotel at 10am following an overnight flight from London and was allocated a room of the agreed specification on arrival.

Nice room size for a good price, which is hard to find in HK. Staying on HK island. Neighborhood amenities (pharmacy, grocery etc.)
A ding-ding ride away from the metro.
We really enjoy our stays at the Pacific Island Hotel. The views of the harbor are fantastic. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is at the end of the subway line and located in a nice neighborhood. It's worth it to get away from the downtown traffic and street vendors.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hop on the ding-ding (cable car) to the end of the line Kennedy Town. Take a walk up Mt Davis. The views are fantastic (bring binoculars) the ruins of the old British coastal batteries that protected the southern entrance to the harbor are well preserved and open to the public.

Very nice hotel, great condition, great view (city or sea) and friendly staff. Hotel free shuttle service to MTR compensates the location of the hotel.
Nothing much to look around the hotel. (surrounded by traditional sea market)
Great hotel and good value. If you worry about the location, try make use of the free hotel shuttle service to MTR, once you reached MTR everything will be easy.

Very close to the Subway and eateries.
The price was a little bit high for the budget but what can you expect, its Hong Kong...
This hotel is awesome...my wife and I loved our stay at this hotel. We will definitely go back and stay longer. Its a little far off from the downtown area, but after all the shopping and sightseeing you would want to be far from it. We also tried walking from the hotel to the subway station, it took about an easy 10 minute walk, very do-able. Rooms had a nice space, bathroom very clean, and the hotel staff was very friendly! We will be staying here again when we take our little one to see Disneyland Hong Kong!

the room is clean and staffs are friendly, reasonable price.
the fan of the air condition is very noisy.
the room is very clean and staffs are friendly, we have the discount price from Agoda booking. The location is okay but not close to MTR station. You can take taxi from hotel to Central MTR station for the fast train to airport which take only 24 minutes! I will come back to this hotel next time.

The rooms, front desk service is very nice.
Should have complimentary water.
10 minute walk to nearest station.
I've only stayed a night here, but it was much better than the hotel I stayed in North Point. The cost and the rooms are very nice and clean. 10 min walk to station or to ferry terminal which will take you to Macau isn't that much, as there are many activities around the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 10 minute walk to Macau bound ferry terminal.

Cheaper than central hotels. Friendly staff.
10 minutes walk from MTR, at least 30/40 minutes from Kowloon side and markets. Traffic noise.
Hotel was reasonable with comfortable, clean rooms, although rooms were a little small.
Traffic noise present at all times with busy waterfront & tunnel highway directly opposite. Also noise from bathroom extraction fan which could not be turned off.
Worst problem was location being well away from most of the tourist sites and with approximately 40 minutes by foot and MTR to get anywhere.
Breakfast was very expensive.
Travel tip : Quite close to tram stop.

nice and clean.
Free shuttle bus to Macau-ferry pier.
Island Pacific Hotel has nice and clean rooms. It is not that close to the busy nightlife areas. We stayed for one night and headed for the Macao Ferry next day. Overall a good choice.

Door keeping service was fabulous. Very kind concierge.
The manager is friendly. Good service
Looks good from outside, and nothing else.
The receptionist didn't know about tour places. Not helpful.
When we reached hotel by 5pm, the room were not ready yet (Check in time suppose to be 2pm). We have requested all our 3 rooms to be in the same floor. After much more negotiation they agree for that. But the 3rd room was ready only around 6pm with a faulty door lock. We got our 3rd room key at 1130 pm(2pm to 1130pm almost half day we couldn't use the room).
The water heater was not working and the rooms were very small.
Better not to book the side harbor view. You will be disappointed.Side harbor view has no harbor view at all.
If you use your room only for sleeping then better book the cheaper hotels.
Marcobola near Kowloon is better choice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Central station is 20mins by walking. 7-11 is nearby. Local market is very near.

- far from MTR station (the nearest is 4 tram stops)
The service is good and the room is reasonable with price. But when we arrived we had the problem that the seaview room that we booked was not available. The hotel tried to degrade our room and offer 1 dinner free for 2 pax. But we did not accept this offer because we wanted a seaview room otherwise we would choose other hotel which was nearer to everything. Finally, the hotel just swifted and gave us its seaview room which we had only 1 side of window toward the opposite building and had to look aside to see the sea. I don't know what I paid for.
