has a nice view, clean, staff is friendly, near a market, has tram and bus station nearby, near the macau ferry station, 15 minute walk to Sheung Wan MRT (for those who like to walk)

From the Hongkong Airport Express Station, one has to take a taxi to go to the hotel. I only found out that the hotel provides free airport express-hotel-airport express pick up and drop off when i arrived at the hotel so call them first and ask where the pick up is, to save since taxi is a bit expensive. Hotel is hygenic as my visit was the H1N1 season, but the hotel does not provide complementary drinking water.

This hotel scores highly in every category, given its star rating. The staff are, without exception, courteous. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable, and are committed to presenting you with as much information as possible about your travels. The room was also good value: spacious, clean, quiet.
I would, however, recommend eating and drinking (whether in the restaurant, bar, or mini-bar) sparingly. Although the service, food, and beer are good, they are in my opinion highly overpriced.
Overall, a visit made better by a good hotel.

Good value hotel with relatively large clean modern rooms. Easy to catch regular and cheap trams to hotel as not near MTR. Quiet with interesting views of surrounding buildings. Interesting area to stay in. Hotel shuttle bus service worked well for drop-offs but pick-ups looked a bit unclear. Outside pool was quite cold and closed fairly early
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't be put off by staff taking a reading of your temperature when you check in - lots of concern in Hong Kong re swine flu.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room is very clean and the hotel staff is courteous. It would be easier if the MTR station is nearer to the hotel. Good view of the harbour. The hotel is very near to the tram depot and the fare is cheap too. It is only $2.

All are photo perfect. It was one of the best experiences. It has all necessary shops around and it will never be a boring experience. Just stay there to enjoy it..

ISLAND PACIFIC HOTEL GREAT
I liked the Island Pacific Hotel because the room was big and the bathroom was nice and clean. The window view was very breath taking and glorious. The staff was great and quick to help me out what ever I needed while there. Taxis service was easy to get to because the staff would held the taxis down for us and tell the taxis driver where we wanted to go.

Island Pacific Hotel was a great stay for me and my girlfriend. The hotel checking in process went smooth, and this was my first time every booking a hotel on the internet, so I was kinda of nervous. But in the long run everything worked out. The staff took my bags and sent them to my room while I waited down in the lobby for my room to get done. I walked the Shueng Wan area looking at all the nice bargain closed they had in the area. Even though the area was older, it still was a great place to travel to see and experience. The Island Pacific Hotel staff made my stuff the very possible with a great price for all my days stay in Hong Kong. If I get a chance to come back again, I would like to stay there and just relax and watch the beautiful sunset from room with my girlfriend.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The ferrier going to Macau are near by.

I found the concierge asnd his staff always ready to help, which is important for a visitor to Hong Kong. I was also impressed with the front desk personnel who handled queries most pleasantly. A feature not always available in similar hotels was the availability and the facilities of the Business Centre at a very reasonable charge.

This is a very modern, well maintained, clean hotel. The harbor view was impressive. We found ourselves sitting at the picture window watching the boats and ships go by. There had been a misunderstanding about the level of room booked and the staff immediately gave us a free upgrade without any hassle at all. Even with the upgrade, the room was a bit small. But, this seems to be normal in Asia. We would stay there again.
Travel tip:
This is a beautiful, clean city. Get a "harbor view" room,use the free shuttle to downtown, dont miss the "festival of lights", "The Peak", or the botanical & zooligical gardens, and ride the top of a double decker bus the length of Hong Kong Island and back. If you are new to Hong Kong, the food is different than "Chinese" food in the US. It is much less expensive to find somewhere the locals eat that has food pictures available. If you are not sure what something is, look at the pictures and ask what is in the dish.

Shuttle service to IFC and Shuntak station is super convenient. Located close to LKF. One block from the trams and bus stops. Very clean.

The hotel has a great shuttle service that takes you to the nearest MTR station. It is located a block away from the tram and bus stations. There are a lot of restaurants, mini marts, salons nearby. Sheung Wan (where the hotel is located) is really immersed in the local culture, it is less touristy. The hotel staff is really friendly and helpful. The concierge service is great. I always felt very welcome every time I get back to the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
It's a block away from the tram station. Take it! It's a great way to sight see the HK Island. Don't worry about getting lost.
