The room was too small for two people, with little space for storage. We had a good view out to sea. The staff made us feel welcome especially on New Year's Eve.

overall, Island pacific hotel is located in seungwan which is very closed to macao ferry.
it is worthy to stay there for 1week

i always stay here and have recommended my friends to book this hotel. it may be away from the mtr but taxis are frequent and the fares are reasonable. the room is normally of good size compared to one in tsim sha tsui. i have tried the hotel food and it is of very good hotel standard and the price is reasonable.
Restaurant Tip:
There are a few noodle shops. I like the one on the street where there are fruit stalls and Watsons.

check-in and check-out service was quick and efficient. hotel staff from concierge, housekeeping to bell service were helpful and quick to respond. rooms were well-appointed but small. beddings could be improved. location of hotel was very convenient to major destinations - mtr station, ifc mall most especially airport express. room service could also be improved.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Top of the IFC Mall is accessible and has a breathtaking view of the harbor.

Hotel is a bit far from Central and Shen Wan, and not really within walking distance. Good thing I guess is that there's a free hotel shuttle bus which can take you too Central and Shen Wan. You can also catch the H1 bus from the Airport Express which will drop you off at the hotel.
Note: Air Con in the room was very weak even when turned to the lowest setting.
If you're looking for a more 'Central' hotel, I would suggest choosing something else.

Hotel is situated four stops awy from undeground station, but still qiute central on Hong KOng Island. Travel with a tram qiute cosy and nice. Walking tour to underground is interesting and learning. Not far from the part of island where expats use to settle.
Very helping hotel staff.

overall is good hotel. Just that the hotel require u to take an escalator to reach its lobby, seems bit odd. Not close to MRT, but just take taxi or their tramways. Dont waste too much on the full sea view unit, the glass panel is not that clear for you to enjoy the scene anyway.
