Spectacular view, interesting Chinese location. A buy on HK island.
Not near metro or ferry terminal, but free shuttle provided, and taxies are cheap. Bus and tram closeby.
Room was just barely big enough to add rollaway bed for teenager. Did not try restaurant, but this form requires a response, so I put Average.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Hop a trolley to see HK central, or bus to see back side of the island.

Price, simming pool, great buffets
It's not on the MTR but taxis are always available outside the hotel. The pillows weren't great.
The staff here are very courteous and the hotel was great for the price. Book online for huge discounts.

-In the heart of Clarke Quay
-Very good value for money
-Free use of Apple computers in lobby
-Rooms quite small
-Rooms slightly dated
-Clarke Quay is an expensive area
The hotel was the most affordable 4 star Western-brand hotel I could find in Singapore at the time I went there. It's less than 10 minutes walk from Clarke Quay MRT station. There's lots of bars, clubs, restaurants nearby - most are expensive. The lobby and public areas of the hotel are very modern. The room itself was quite small, clean, slightly dated. The hotel is above the Liang Court shopping centre, convenient for shops and eating places that are a lot cheaper than most of Clarke Quay. You're about 15 minutes walk from Chinatown.
Restaurant Tip : Head to Lau Pa Sat food court for extremely reasonably priced, and very tasty, food, 24 hours a day. There's Chinese, Indian and Malay food, and satay places just outside. Lau Pa Sat itself is a Victorian cast-iron building. Nearest station is Raffles Place MRT.

late check out available, super friendly staff, clean
dried seafood district right outside the door.
Second time I have stayed at the Magnificent International Hotel in HK and I was equally as satisfied the second time around. The rooms are small, but clean. Staff is super friendly and really helpful. They are very accommodating to late check outs. The pool is also a nice relief from the hot streets of HK in the summer.

The hotel is located near the central area of Hongkong island. That means the both sides of the coin. You have to take bus, tram or MTR and the Star ferry (Taxi is not good choice in Hongkong fot the most of taxi drivers can't understand english. And in my occasion, one of them couldn't find the Art museum and another tried to cheat me 20 dollars) at Hongkong to enjoy the wonderful night sky line, and the modern famous shopping areas are also not around the hotel.
But the central area the Island pacific hotel is located will be the most exciting area for the travellers who look for the real attractiveness of Hongkong. Old trams and modern double deck buses, a lot of kinds of old stores and modern buildings, and Hongkong people who are in harmony with them naturally. I think thoes are the real looks of Hongkong and if you stay in the hotel you would be constrained to see the real face of Hongkong. Good luck!
The entrance is small and not at the broad road you can't find it easily
not bad.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The tram line is so near that you can reach peak tram, Wanchai, Causway, Star ferry and so on enjoying the old taste of Hongkong withou a big money if you can bear the hot of Hongkong.

Room cleanliness is at high standard,
Hotel staff are 5-star hotel service,
Low room rates with high standard service
Hotel location is far from shopping centres
The room is clean, the bathroom is also nice, the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I stayed in one of the rooms that overlooked the harbour, which I recommend you to choose rather than those rooms with the city view. You cannot find any hotel in HK with low room rates and good facilities. The hotel is located in the west side of Hongkong island, so for those who are shopping mania are not recommended. But if you are on business trip or sightseeing, this hotel offers you an excellent night rest.
Travel tip : Nothing that we can find at or near the hotel

within tram distance of anything you wanted to actually see.
the staff at the entrance were friendly
very small room.
Very poor service at the reception desk.
We were disappointed at how impersonal the service was, having arrived at Hong Kong for the last leg of a six week holiday.
Very hard to get anyones attention at the desk. The free internet service was available only if you had your own laptop otherwise the charge was extravagent
the hotel room was old and jaded and the service from staff was just as jaded. A great disappointment.
A cyclone was imminent when we were there and apart from a screen warning, no one gave us current information on just what to expect, or what was going on.
We had to request clean towells each day , as they were not automatically provided, and this entailed chasing domestic services on various floors of the hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Cheap tram fares to get out of that region and off to the shopping and sightseeing areas of hong kong

staff were very helpful, location is great for those arriving/departing via macau or for those into the soho nightlife.
room was a bit small and smelly but i guess to be expected given the great location and the fact i had a smokers room with no outside window access.
would definetly recommend with the above provisos.

elegance atmosphere interior, closed to western tunnel, value for money.
location and neighborhoods
ALthough location is off central district, yet within minutes accessible to train station, cross tunnel, office district, etc. Have been upgraded to high floor executive room this time to obtain extra spaces on top of the usual comforts and elegance atmosphere of the hotel. would recomment to friends in future.

Extremely small room for a 4 star hotel, expensive drinks HK$36 for a 500ml bottle of mineral water and far from MTR
The overall stay at the hotel was fine.We had arrived earlier than planned but the hotel allowed us to use the business center for free.late check-out was also available due to out late flight back. The staff at the hotel was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room was extremely small. Lucky for me I'm Asian and am not as big sized as most other nationalities. With that said I still found the room way too small for comfort. The MTR was also very far from the hotel and you will not want to walk all that distance. Take the tram and it will save you alot more money.

The hotel was conveniently located and i liked that for the price i paid. I didn't like the restroom, as it felt dirty, not that it was, but the fact that it looked old and used.

Clean, quiet, nice service, and quite easy commute.
Honestly, I can't find anything to complain about.
Would recommend to my friends on their visits to Hong Kong, especially, booked through Agoda.

Clean, bright, and with seaview
Double bed is combined by two single bed
The room we stayed at was quite high on the building viewing some seaview in the middle. The location is quite convenient as restaurants, bus stops, tram stations are all around.
Good to have a bath tub in the room too.

the nice hotel in not busy enviroment. A pretty big room. Compoftable enough.
very expensive breakfast. old TV. expensive wifi.
I stayed in HK in many places in many hotels. The Island Pacific Hotel is very comfortable. Value for money. Room was very big with cozy bed. Clean. Bathroom is typical for HK (small). Mine was with tube. the check in and check out were very fast. The staff was very usefull and helpful. The only cons is that ive booked a room type Side Harbour View but stayed in with view to the skyscrapers. Location is for young people coz MTR station is 1km away from the hotel.
Restaurant Tip : There are some nice local restaurants near by the hotel. Not for snobs...just for food. I ve enjoyed. my wallet told me the same

sparkling clean, excellent customer service, beautiful harbour view, free shuttle, nearby cheap tram services.
nothing in particular except the hotel isn't near to MTR which we can't complain cos we knew that ahead before booking the hotel.
We have stayed in several HK hotels over the years and I must say that Island Pacific hotel offers the best value-for-money accommodation. The hotel may not be near any MTR station but well-compensated by the local trams connected to Central bus station (to visit The Peak, Stanley Market and Ocean Park) and Admiralty MTR (for any tourist locations connected via MTR). Besides the cheap tram services, Island Pacific Hotel provides half hourly shuttle service to Central MTR and if you inform the bell boy you’re going to the ferry terminal, they can arrange the shuttle bus to drop you at the ferry terminal. Customer service was great. During one of the nights, we encountered a problem with our luggage locks. We called the reception and within five minutes, the handymen were at our door offering to help. The receptionist and concierge boys were always smiling. Ask them anything about HK (how to get there, what’s the opening hours, traveling tips, etc) and you’d be surprised they are sooo resourceful and always ready to assist you. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and don’t mind coming back again.
