Hotel was reasonable with comfortable, clean rooms, although rooms were a little small.
Traffic noise present at all times with busy waterfront & tunnel highway directly opposite. Also noise from bathroom extraction fan which could not be turned off.
Worst problem was location being well away from most of the tourist sites and with approximately 40 minutes by foot and MTR to get anywhere.
Breakfast was very expensive.
Cheaper than central hotels. Friendly staff.
10 minutes walk from MTR, at least 30/40 minutes from Kowloon side and markets. Traffic noise.
- Travel tip : Quite close to tram stop.
Clean, close and comfy

Location is good for business traveler, service good, facilities cover the full spectrum of requirements. Rooms are comfortable and have good working facilities, wireless was good thru building. Rates were very competitive. Outlook from the mtn room is great. Hotel is located in good Hong Kong area, its an interesting area compared to Wan Chai or Central, got more soul and HK life to it
Solid cost effective accommodation near to MTR and central business district.
Lifts tend to be a bit slow.
OK but...

Island Pacific sells themselves with a reasonable room price then overcharge for such things as $30 per hour internet access and $128 brealfast buffet. It is in a location that either requires a trolly or cab ride to other transportation and has few other international restaurants nearby. The free daily newspaper is a nice touch though.
reasonable price for HK, quiet location, friendly staff
over priced internet access, inconvient access to MTR, overpriced breakfast buffet
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : To make sure the trolly goes all the way to the hotel, make sure it says Kennedy Town. Others turn around before getting there.
Comfortable hotel

Nice hotel - rooms small unless you get an upgrade. Hotel staff very helpful. Good local atmosphere around hotel (no western bars / restauants until you get into Soho or Lang Kwai Fong. Which is about 5 mins away by taxi. Hotel bar nice quiet atmoshere also had live music the 2 nights we were there. Concierge helpful - bus direct to Stanley 2 mins from hotel. Pool looked inviting although I didnt try it.
Good Value Hotel - Nice Bar
Small Rooms
- Nightlife Tip : Excellent bars and restaurants in Soho / Lan Kwai Fong. Get the walking guide from the Tourist Information at Tsim Tsa Tsui Star Ferry terminal.

This hotel is very cozy and a good choice and good price for people who want to stay in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, it is located near to the fish market and far from central.
Comfortable room and clean.
Take time to come back from the central shop.

The hotel is located in an area with many local fish shops, which dry the fish on the street (quite a smell all over) and the surrounding buildings are old and look depressing. the pool is on the 2 floor so the traffic noise can be heard to the pool and you can hardly see the sun because of the surrounding building. the superior harbor side room is nothing superior. you can hardly see the see from the window. only ugly buildings around you. the bathroom and the bed is ok in the room, but the wall paper and floor is old and dirty.
Lobby, friendly staff.
Pool area.

The hotel is very clean in overall, but the situation is a bit pity. The first thing you smell is fish smell. Besides from that the hotel is situated close to the shopping mall, kowloon and the exhibition center. Plus the personnel is very helping and kind, Good service overall. Too bad for the bruised fruit in my room.
Kind staff, good housekeeping
Too small rooms, swimming pool too small, bad fruit in the room, weird smell of fish in the hotel due to seafood street

this should not ranked a four star hotel, although i probably get what i paid, but this certainly is the worse case scenario. Once we arrived at the hotel, ewwww the smell of fish is all over the ground area. Then there's the hardest bed i ever slept on (which is hardly). and its just too small to put our luggages! the staff at the restaurant are also furious!!
cheap, good concierge
smelly entrance, hard bed, small rooms, boring area

Very nice hotel in a "quiet" Hong Kong neighbourhood.
The room was perfect, the bed very good, with a fantastic view. The service very helpful and friendly.
Definitely my pick for the next stay in Hong Kong island.
NIce room, excellent bed, great view.
Although small, a very pleasant pool area.
Good location in a relatively quiet and authentic HK neighbourhood.
Good, friendly service.
My only comment would concern internet: the existing and fast connection (ethernet/Wifi) is not free. I think in times of cheap internet it could be included in the service package.
