Central location, good service but noisy

the overall experience is ok. however, it caused inconvenience due to the noise from the construction site next to the hotel in the weekdays, also the refurbishment in the hotel building for a few floors starting from 9am. however, the staff is very friendly and helpful and they rearranged a quieter room for us after the reflection of the noise problem.
room size is alright and the cons is the lack of wifi access in the room. we can only use internet in the lobby which very inconvenient.
Hotel Feature Tip:
I would recommend making special request on a room located on floors which are not affected by the hotel refurbishment as it is taken place in batches. Also to request for a room which is not facing the construction site if you are a traveller who prefers sleeping till noon time before the start of the sightseeing. If you are a traveller who go out during the day for shopping or sightseeing, the noise problem will be minor for you.

We were in a great location to explore the whole of Hong Kong. Opposite the hotel is the metro system and there are also tram stops very close to the hotel.
Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance too which was very useful.
Sadly the hotel undertook pool maintenance whilst we were there which was quite annoying as one of the main reasons we had booked this hotel was to use the pool.
Oveall we had a pleasant stay and as hotels are expensive in Hong Kong, I feel our room was a reasonable size for the money we paid.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure you go to Happy Valley Horse Racing on Wednesday nights! It is only 10HKD to enter and lots of fun!! Get an Octopus card too as it makes travelling around the city very easy and you can get the refund of your card on your departure.

For the price, the location and quality of the hotel is great. However, first night, got a room with poor water drainage in the bathroom. Generally clean and rooms are large by Hong Kong standards. Price is reasonable if bought early, and in low season.
Some of the front desk can do with additional course in courtesy though.
Shopping Tip:
Just take electric tram on the road outside the Hotel. Cheapest transport and least walking while have best sights of the city.

rooms were clean and bright. you know how most hotel rooms look dim? the opposite goes for this one. hairdryer's in the first drawer below the tv set (which makes sense since you don't want either one of you hogging the bathroom just to shower).
no free lan internet in the rooms, however, there is free wi-fi in the lobby. just ask them for the password.
a mcdonald's is on the opposite street, as well. vegetarians are in luck, as there is a vegetarian restaurant named fantasy vegetarian restaurant on electric road, not far from the hotel. to get there, just cross the street past the mtr station (past exit a2), then turn a right. walk straight ahead, it's on the right side.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
to get to the hotel, take the e11 bus. costs about 21hkd per person, and you pay directly to the bus driver. relax in the bus since the hotel's the last stop on the whole ride anyway. all you need to get to the hotel after you alight the bus is to cross the street. also, next to the bus station is the mtr station exit a1, so getting to places won't be a hard feat.
if you're staying for more than 2 days and will be visiting hong kong in the future (like once a year, or so), it'd be easier to purchase an octopus card so that you wouldn't have to congest in front of the ticketing machines. an octopus card for the adult would set you back hkd150; hkd70 for kids and elders, with a usable credit of hkd20. (forgot how much usable credit is for adults.)
i'd also suggest that you do an itinerary, and list down all your exits to make your travel time less time-consuming.

This is our second stay. First we stayed in a 1 bedroom suite which was really nice with separate shower and bath. 2nd stay was superior, which was pretty plain and standard
They have a good dining room with glass walls all around, onlooking to street scene.
Breakfast is standard, nothing exciting.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
5 minute walk to Victoria park, 2 minute walk to MTR train, 1 minute to tram, taxis easy to get.

Decent size room for Hong Kong standard. Free Wi-fi in the lobby area. The staff was helpful in providing directions and helping us to get a taxi. During our last day, we have to change room becuase of strong thinner smell due to the renovation. The staff was help to find a replacement room. They have a nice swimming pool on the top floor but it was close for maintenance when we were there.
