great hotel that is located across the road from tin hau mrt station. the rooms are clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff. i was surprised to find an accoustic piano up on the top floor for guests to play with. its a first i've ever seen.
Shopping Tip:
You can get from your room to Causeway Bay in Less than 10 minutes via MRT and it is walk. It is not unrealistic to even walk from Hotel all the way to Central station, (20 minutes)

Great location, decent service.
Location remains the best selling point of this hotel.

Checking in was smooth. Given a room at very high floor, which is good.
But found out about the slow lift subsequently, which takes almost forever to reach the room.
Location is as perfect as it can get. amenities all within 3 mins walking distance.
Room service is stealthy, which is a compliment. Everything is done (room made up, sufficient towels, complimentary water, etc) without you knowing it. Housekeeping staff are polite and cheery.
Room is a little small, but its to be expected in HK, as with all other hotels in this class. But it's clean and in working condition.
Overall, highly satisfactory experience.

Quite a big room with a bathtub and retractable clothes line. The hotel is just opposite an MTR station and a bus terminal. Also, there is tram station just outside the hotel. It is a very cheap form of transport. Several small cafes near the hotel, and a nice BBQ stall and Taiwan Gong Cha just one street in front of the hotel.

The rooms are comfortable. The service is good. The gym is not well equipped. Only cardio machines. No free weights or weight training equipment.
The MTR station is opposite the road. So it makes it very easy to travel around HK. Causeway Bay is a great shopping area one MTR stop away.
Restaurant Tip:
There are some small quaint restaurants around the corner on Causeway Bay Road after the Metropark hotel. The restaurant in front of the hotel lobby serves typical Hong kong cuisine.

reception and porters efficient. they don't cover you with warm welcome but they're reasonably courteous. maybe i have been spoilt. i stayed in the marriott last time. the rooms in this hotel are reasonably well-sized but pretty spartan and must be getting close to a renovation. the bathroom is quite good. everything worked.
the room service menu is pretty basic for a westerner but should be ok for younger guests.
the pool is smallish but quite ok. closed for the winter (december) which seems strange in hong kong. having lived there for 2 years i have a theory that the locals over-react to cooler weather. they were more rugged up than people back here in much cooler shanghai. the gym is ok. breakfast is served in a dining room on the 2nd? level. i'm sure its pretty packed at peak times. i passed. they charge for the internet - it a pittance but annoying. but you can get free access in the lobby. i'd stayed here a few times before - mainly for the location. this time it was an emergency last-minute thing as my favorite hotels were booked out. still, if you don't need fancy frills, this place is just fine. the price was reasonable. don't get caught like i did. even pretty ordinary hotels ramp their room rates right up for emergency bookings. like for a 3 star hotel! this place was around. hopefully they'll renovate soon - it just needs a facelift - and it could be pretty good.
Shopping Tip:
city super at times square, ifc2 central and harbour city is the best supermarket in asia.
page one at times square and harbour city a great books shop.
buy your electronics at fortress or broadway. times square is where selina williams bought hers.
pret a manger is an english chain that makes very superior sandwiches. at ifc 2 and admiralty mrt.
lane and crawford at admiralty is amazing for interior decor and clothes.

My stay in the l hotel causeway bay is probably my sixth time to stay here. Overall another pleasant stay. I like the hotel's location very much and it's close proximity to the tin hau station and the hong kong trams as well. definitely a good place to stay in would surely go back and stay here again.

i like the location where it's just 2mins away from the train station. there is a lot of nice food as well.
as for the room, i realized that it is clean but not totally. you will still find chunk of dust at coners. the reception is not helpful at all, i ask them how do i get to some place and they will just tell you and walk away. ask the to help hail a cab they will point to the road asking you to do it yourself. for the kind of price i can stay at hotel with better service.
