Lan Kwai Fong @ Kau U Fong Hotel Hong Kong Info
Voted the best Asian boutique hotel by TravelWeekly, this is a popular favorite because of its central location near SoHo. The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is close to Hong Kong's major shopping and sightseeing areas and is well connected to public transportation links such as MTR, bus, tram and ferry. Tourist hot spots nearby include the Man Mo Temple, Times Square, Possession Street, the Repulse Bay and Stanley Market. The hotel has elaborately furnished deluxe rooms and 5 palatial harbor view suites. Attention to detail is obvious in the elaborate appearance of the entire hotel, right down to the bathrooms.

The rooms are so so small. There is not complimentary water and the internet is £35 for 4 days and slow. My room was not cleaned until after 3 PM and I usually had to ask for it to be done. My feet hung off the bed as it was such a small double.
I should have read other reviews more carefully! When people said the room was small, they meant it. It is claustrophobiclly small. This is not a boutique hotel in reality...it should not be called one! The lobby may look boutique but the rooms do not! If you want to spend £100 a night stay at The Bishop Lei international house and get a suite. Not quite as modern, but much bigger, better views and value for money.
Restaurant Tip : There are lots of restaurants and clubs nearby. We ate breakfast everyday at the The Bread Company along the central escalator as it was not included in the price for the room.

The bedrooms are small-ish; though I have known smaller. They are comfortable but are not for sitting around and relaxing if there are two of you.
I wish the shelf over the washbasin was somewhere else.
I wish the gym was equipped with a Concept 2 rowing machine.
No hotel is ideal for everyone; if one provides everything it is probably too expensive or opulent. The Lan Kwai Fong does not endeavour to meet everyone's needs but it does most. Its major advantage is its Central location which facilitates access to many centres of interest and transport hubs. I have always considered it an understated hotel, one which one might not give a second look but, once experienced, it is hard to fault or better. It is friendly and provides both business people and those on holiday an above average, well priced, comfortable place to stay whether it be long or short term. I shall certainly return.
Restaurant Tip : Try Hollywood Road - The Cheese Room and The Classified - for good food and a fun evening.

Excellent position, friendly staff, great value for money
Small rooms, breakfast could be better
The hotel is situated on a steep small side street but still very close to the heart of the LKF district, as well as the shopping area & MTR station. Pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are small but very clean, tastefully decorated and great view of the hill and the peak. one thing though: usually hotels in HK provide a complimentary bottled water, this is the only one which does not do it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very close to the LKF district and its bars & restaurants, right next to the antiquities street and easy access to Kowloon through close MTR station.
