Fantastic hotel with service to match
9.7
After searching the web and other reviews of hotels in a reasonable price range in Hong Kong, i chose The Madera Hotel and what an excellent choice it was. It starts with the easy access to the Jordan MTR station to the easy check in with a friendly smile. I was then escorted to my room which was such an oasis with its quality fittings, luxurious towels and the high quality Crabtree & Evelyn products. This is a new hotel which opened in January 2012 and i hope the standard stays at this great level because i will definitely be returning again and advise other travellers to give this place a go if they want affordability, quality and location. Thanks Madera Hotel 10 out of 10.
Shopping Tip:
The Madera is 2 minutes away from Temple St night market so get your walking shoes on to buy your souvenirs for family and friends but remember to haggle for a good bargain.

The rooms are very good, the service of staff excellent, the location is in distance from HK heart, the offered breakfast as quantity , variety and quality, is unacceptable as a standard continental breakfast. The available space for the breakfast dinning room is also less then too small.

We switched to this hotel after staying at another hotel in Wanchai area it's because of friend recomment. so, we decided to give it a try. First of all, small lobby but excellent front desk.
My room is on 27th floor however my friends they are on 23th floor. The room are ultra high-tech with every comfort provided in well-thought out detail. A glass wall using remote control blind,a nice hong kong view you can get.A flat TV is a HD and 3D TV come with a pair of 3D glasses, a JBL ipod desk, speedy free Wifi access, a (one-time)free minibar which comes with beer, soft drinks, instant noodle and snacks. I like the bathrobe feeling good to put on it,I have to mention good details because the towels and slippers are in two colors, white and fresh light green, so nice beside that which makes us easy to identify our towels and premium Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries is provided ^-^
Madera Hong Kong Hotel offers modern accomodation with numerous extra. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to fully indulge in this hotel extra amenities but we have plan to coming back next year. ^-^ we are impressed and Madera is highly recommended!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Madera Hotel is in the heart of Kowloon, a 5-minute walk from the local Jade Market, Temple Street and a 15-20 min walk to Tsim Sha Tsui and all the shopping malls like Miramar or iSquare or The One and Jordan MTR Station is in walking distance. By train, it is within 15 minutes' from Central, Lan Kwai Fong and the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. Mongkok is a 10-minute walk away.

The room size was somewhat misleading.
It is conveniently located by MTR but at a not so desirable part of the town.
8.7
The actual size of the room was far smaller than 32 sq. m. as stated on the website, unless I was not provided with what I had signed up for. If full services hotel is not a requirement, Madera is a pleasant boutique style establishment.
Hotel Feature Tip:
For HK$60 and 40 min, Airport Express via Tsing Yi, then transfer to MTR is the way to go to Madera.
