Great location, modern hotel
My room was nice and modern. The view from the 18th floor facing the Eaton hotel was nothing special but at least it was bright. The room was a well designed small space, including a good safe and complimentary alcohol-free mini-bar, large enough flat-screen tv, kettle, and good quality in-room saf. It had enough drawers and cupbaords but a couple more hangers would have been helpful as I was there on business so required a bit more wardrobe. The bed was only a double, not the Queen that was stated in the booking but it was big enough and definitely comfortable. The staff were super friendly though I didn't have much chance to interact with them. Check in and Check out were a breeze. The area is quite local, easily walkable, and has several great Hong Kongese food options but this is not the place to stay if you have Western food tastes. The MRT is two streets away however and can quickly whisk you to Central station where you can find every cuisine the world has to offer. All in all, I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hong Kong and I would recommend it to anyone who wants an excellent value hotel right in the heart of Kowloon. I didn't have anything like a overhead rain shower and the jaccuzzi tub was only big enough for someone under 5'5" but the bathroom was clean, the water pressure was good, and the shower was at least functional. The bathroom did offer all the amenities which was nice, but I travel with my own.

Hotel Madera Hong Kong - Apr 2016
- Stayed one night at the Hotel Madera, traveling alone - Friendly and efficient check-in process - Modern and well-designed room with a view overlooking the city - Very large bathroom with nice shower / bath - Handy phone comes with the room to make local and international calls - phone itself is a bit slow, but it functions well as a portable WiFi hotspot
