Man Wah Set high on the 25th floor, this is Hong Kong’s premier Cantonese restaurant. Refurbished by acclaimed designer Don Ashton to immediate and continued success, Man Wah seats 62 guests. It includes an exquisite private room, Tsui Yin Ting, which is styled on an old Chinese pavilion and accommodates 12 in comfort at a round table. Local rosewood is used throughout, giving a rich depth to the decor. Around the walls hang 10 exclusively commissioned original silk paintings by David Wong, depicting traditional Mandarins. Lacquered enamel and gold-plated ceiling lamps resemble birdcages, and are complemented by glazed, antique flower vases coloured a classic deep red. Man Wah is open daily for lunch and dinner and offers a traditional Cantonese menu and seasonal specialities. Signature dishes include sautéed fillet
of sole with green vegetables in black bean sauce, steamed crab claws and stuffed prawns in supreme sauce, and poached pear in tangerine tea.

Clipper Lounge Located on the mezzanine floor overlooking the busy lobby, The Clipper Lounge is furnished with large, comfortable seats and low tables. It’s a favorite with Hong Kong’s most esteemed residents, and takes its name from the great, golden figurehead that stands guard at the head of the entrance staircase. Originally designed for the prow of the sailing ship in the film “Billy Budd”, the carving was transported to Hong Kong in 1963 by set designer Don Ashton, to complete his interior design.
Both lunch and dinner buffet are served, as is our famous afternoon High Tea that comes elegantly presented on silver stands. It features treats like finger sandwiches, sweets and scones as well as the hotel’s signature rose-petal jam. And if that’s not enough luxury for one afternoon, Champagne and canapés are also served between 3pm-8pm.

Captain's Bar Open right through from 11am-2am, this bar has been a permanent fixture since the day Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, first opened its doors. Whilst it’s undoubtedly a place where business is done, the ambiance is anything but formal, with the chess board design of the screens reflected in the portable bar tables and playing card patterned fabric of our inviting chairs and sofas.
Our resident group, the Tony Carpio Band, add to the lively atmosphere six nights a week, while a jazz trio entertains on Sunday.

The Chinnery This first gastro-pub of its kind was named after the famous British artist George Chinnery who lived and painted in Hong Kong and Macau. It’s an intimate retreat, with Chinnery reproductions on wood paneled walls, and deep armchairs and leather banquettes set in cozy bays. Beneath its decorative beamed ceiling, lamps suffuse a warm glow that softly illuminates brass wine racks.
The Chinnery serves British home-style cuisine for lunch and dinner, including favorites like Bangers & Mash, Stilton Soup and Steak & Kidney Pie. It’s also the place to unwind with a selection from a wonderful selection of international newspapers and magazines – perhaps with a snack and a glass of wine, or a single-malt whiskey from one of the most extensive collections to be found anywhere in Asia.
