Clean room, good location, friendly staff
Grotty bathrooms!!...was put into a smoking room even though we booked a non smoking room - although they did move us on the 2nd day
Its a bit like a Premier inn, so we knew what to expect. The bathrooms were a bot grotty, but other than that it was fine, nothing special, but fine for what we needed, although a bit expensive considering.
Shopping Tip : The Ladies market is better than temple market...there's not a lot to do in HK other than shop!

Very close to all HK attractions, nice staff, nice service, nice food, clean, big rooms, comfortable
Noisy from traffic and bars around
Metropark is located in the very heart of HK, close to all businerss, malls, shops, restaurants and bars. Walking distance to Central and Admiralty metro stations. It is a nice and clean hotel, well worth the money. Friendly staff, good food in the restaurant, very affordable lunch buffet, roomservice. Spacious rooms and bathrooms with tub.Not just a bed but sofas and desk and room for 4 suitcases. Many international TV channels especially for News and Sport. I could absolutely recommend this hotel
Shopping Tip : Pacific Place mall just a few blocks away is a really great shopping palace in HK

Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Friendly and attentive staff. Good location.
Nothing major. Lack of choice on TV. No double bed. Limited choice of drinks in minibar.
When we arrived we discovered from the local Time Out Magazine that the Metropark had been the hotel quarantined in the news recently for swine flu. However don't let that put you off, apart from a quick temperature check when we arrived (but this happened all across our Far East travels) it was business as usual. The hotel looks far more expensive that the reduced rate I paid on Agoda. It is far better that similarly priced hotels I have stayed in, in Europe. When we arrived we were told that we were being upgraded to an executive room but I was hard pressed to tell the difference from the picture on the internet of the room I had booked. The room was large and spacious with a decent sized bedroom and large bathroom. The only gripe was that hotels seem to locate the bathroom door in front of the toilet with little space between them, leading to possible back/ knee injuries. The room was cleaned regularly and to a good standard. Soundproofing was reasonable and we were not disturbed by noise from outside. The minibar had a limited choice but normally I wouldn't use it because of the cost and they were happy to accomodate our duty free in the minibar. I strongly advise anyone who drinks alcohol to get spirits and wine in duty free as alcohol in most places is very expensive. Staff were helpful and attentive at all times, even requesting a face to face discussion about the quality of service and accomodation that they provide. The location is great very close to Central and easy to get to Kowloon via Metro or Ferry. The taxi's are generally cheap but crossing the harbour by taxi can be very expensive in comparison. The tram's are really the most fun way to get around and very very cheap.
The area around Wan Chai has lots of bars and restaurants generally catering to a more european palate. The bars did tend towards being tacky but still some great little places for a drink. 1/5 Nuevo on Star street had some cracking
Nightlife Tip : Try a bar called 1/5 Nuevo on Star Street or The Pawn nearby towards Causeway Bay.

The reception is friendly and helpfuly. All of the stuff are good informend and a safly handling.
The rooms a re very small and the AirCon has a unpleasant smell. The breakfast ist more or less acceptable.
The possition of the hotel is ok. You are near by a metro, ship and convinient pleaces for a good and iteressting time in Honk Kong. The stuff is good informed about the options for your holidays and is able to help a lot. In the evening your decide for a dinner is good and comfortable. Your choice is: Western food, Chinese food,... . After dinner you are nearly be pubs and bars. The fact: your night life is not boaring including a good view.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : River tour at night and night lights around your pleace.

Clean, Close to everything, fairly good service
We weren't told that the hotel had been in quaranteen for 1 week and then closed for another week for cleaning... The Mexican man with swine flu was in this hotel
We arrived on Hong Kong Island at our hotel at 10pm at night (after a 3 hour flight and 40 minutes on the train) to find that the hotel we though we were staying in was "Closed for Cleaning". The manager informed us that we must be booked in at the other MetroPark in Central as they were closed for cleaning but would be re-opening the next day. We stayed at the Metropark in Central for the night and returned the next day to a lobby full of reporters. The hotel had been closed for cleaning because of swine flu... We weren't aware of that and were mobbed by reporters and cameras while we were trying to check in. The hotel was cleaned and we weren't worried about swine flu but we probably wouldn't have stayed there if we had known before hand! The room was nice enough, The bed was hard but they fixed that by putting a foam overlay on it for us. The pillows were also very hard and we soon found out that they had ONE feather/down pillow in the hotel... Which we had in our room. There was "enough" space and it was in a decent location. The staff were as helpful as they could be. Food was not fantastic there and the restaurant service was not great either. We probably wouldn't stay in Wanchai again... Probably not with MetroPark either. Was a funny experience now that we look back on it but my gosh! What a shock!

we got upgraded to spacious comfort room for free. the room is same as the picture. toiletries are good enough. can put 3-4 suitcases in line.about 4mins walk from MTR station.
the chairs in the room were not very clean, some dirt marks on it. no complimentary water. the towers were not very comfortable. not much view as it is located in the city.
it was the re opening day after they closed to clean up for the swine flu quarantine. we got upgraded to spacious comfort room. the room is very spacious for Hong Kong standard.the room is very clean, bed & pillow are very comfortable. but they only have 2 pillows in the room. can ask for more. the bathroom is spacious as well. the hotel decoration is simple and nice. i was staying at 16th floor but still can hear noise from the road. try to ask for higher floor if you need a quiet sleep. the Wan Chai station A2 exit, turn right walk about 4mins, after HSBC and 7-eleven, then you will get to the hotel.
Restaurant Tip : there is a 永華 noodle shop just 1 block away from metropark. the wanton noodle is very good but the wanton just is so so only.何洪記 nearby TimeSquare also very good.沾仔記is as good as there other two and a lot cheaper. although the choice is limited but noodle is good. the 庸記roasted goose is really good but a bit oily. other dishes also very good. the Pacific coffee is very popular in Hong Kong but i still prefer Starbucks, not used to the Pacific coffee, taste weird. the 澳洲牛奶公司at Jordon is a typical Hong Kong style of restaurant. very crowed and the service is very fast. food was served within 2mins. the food was delicious and cheap. must try the egg sandwich.

Location... very modern decor... affordable price
I found the bed to be a little hard for my taste.. also the buffet breakfast was fairly limited.
The hotel is very convenient to Hong Kong's entertainment district with many nice restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk. I could not fault the service but I suspect there were very few people in the house as it had only just opened after its closure from the Swine Flu quarantine.

I was also disabled with a foot in the cast and crutches, so when we arrived i found a quiet street, poor for eating, shopping and night life near many parks, lots of halks soring over head, a great view of the harbour and sunsets, a reasonable Cafe with buffet, nice rooftop pool & gym and free internet. maybe because i was crippled the staff were extra helpful and kind.
not easy to get a taxi, nor mtr, but max 15 minute wait for a cab
if you are looking for reasonable price, quiet central location, and efficient hotel this is it, but ask for harbour view and try to catch a sunset over the Victoria harbour, the Causeway Bay Parks and the flock of impressive hawks happily circling 20 storys up, just be patient for the taxis or walk
Hotel Feature Tip : sunset not to be missed pay extra or try to get harbour view room and high floor

Location
VIP guests only - very, very selective
Extremely caring
Allows Mexican people
Too many police in and around hotel
Scary people in white suits and mouth-caps
Our stay in the Metropark hotel started out as any other stay in any other good price/quality hotel. Basic facilities are in place, although Metropark has refurnished, we would prefer a slightly different style, but that's just a matter of taste. We have not tried out the food.
Central location from which you can walk and discover Central as well as Causewaybay. The MTR is only within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Via the MTR you can reach East Tsim Sha Tsui area easily.
However, our long-weekend stay at Metropark ended up in a full 1.5 week stay due to the quarantine that was imposed on us.
Despite the crazy and sometimes stressfull situation, we need to emphasize that the hotel staff has been as polite and helpful as one could be in the given circumstances. Our conclusion would be that if this hotel staff could stay calm, polite and helpful in this extraordinary situation, this staff belongs to one of the best service crew we have met during our many trips. And I think this may be their most distinctive quality.
Restaurant Tip : Restaurant Aqua. Great view over skyline Hong Kong island. Reservation needed.
