Metropark Hotel Wanchai, Hong Kong

- they automatically upgrade me to Lady Guest Room from Comfort room (I think they saw me travel alone), very considerate!! - the staff are very helpful and friendly. - check in/out very fast. - room is clean and spacious in Hong Kong standard. - I will come back and highly recommended to other travelers.

This is a newly renovated hotel in the "modernistic" style (lots of chrome and glass). The rooms are a good size (for Hong Kong), and the bathrooms are adequate. The hotel is conveniently located close to many bars, restaurants and night clubs (warning: the latter are very expensive). The staff was friendly and efficient. The hotel's restaurant is long and narrow, so that a large party can spoil the eating pleasure of other guests. The excellent seafood buffet in the evenis closes much too early at 9 p.m. The hotel is located on a busy street, so there is considerable traffic noise.

Although the room that I had stayed was smaller than my expectation, the room was clean and well-decorated. Moreover, the best thing for this hotel is its prime location, which is 2 blocks away from Wanchai MTR station, as well as, surrounded by minimarts, restaurants, and bars.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, total 6 nights (we made 2 trips to China during these 2 weeks). Excellent service from everyone at the Hotel. Very helpfull for nearly everything you need. Just 1-2 minutes walking from trolly- and busstops. 10 min. from undergroud. Lots of restaurants neadby. Highly recommended hotel for short stay in Hong Kong.

The Metropark Wanchai is an excellent value for money hotel in Wanchai. It is convenient for local bars and restaurants and Lan Kwai Fong is not too far away. We had a couple of minor issues with the room (e.g. TV not working) but these were resolved immediately and so this was a good point rather than a bad one. Very helpful and friendly staff.

I would definitely stay again. Would like to see a gym, but oh well. Breakfast was very good. The staff was helpful. Internet worked very well. Nice bathrooms and big beds. Safe in the closet. Close to the ferry landing and to the night spots in the area.

The Hotel is very located in the middle of the city. 15 mins walk to Causeway Bay and 5 min walk to the MTR. Also Central business District in 20 mins walk. Hotel looks really nice, but rooms where not really clean but ok. The really bad think is that if you want to use internet at the lobby you need to pay quite a lot. This is from my point of view a service who should be for free on every hotel. Staff was very friendly. i recomend this hotel for few days, but not longer, as no pool etc.

Overall a pleasant stay as the hotel is newly renovated and the room is pretty spacious. They are really nice to give us a free upgrade to executive room. The location of the hotel (near to the MTR) was the main reason we booked metropark and it made our travelling easy. The only minus point will be no internet in the room, and the internet at the lobby cost HKD15 for 15mins.

One of the best locations everything is very close by. Good dining and nite life just around the corner. Good transport links taxis, buses, trams mtr just a short walk. Reception staff very friendly hotel was clean and well maintained good standard for Hong Kong. Hotel restaurant was very good. Would stay again very enjoyable.

Newly renovated, simple and modeern, was in fact exceeded my expectation for a usual hk 4 stars hotels (alot of them stinks...). hotel room was not as small as previously decribed by other memembers. They seem to have free internet in the lobby.. but i din get to use them. Great location in hk island, 2 mins walk to subway station. But i guess they should list that in the map, or in their vouchers. Good value, suitable for travlers and business.

I stayed a night at Metropark Hotel as my last day of my HK trip was at the island. My family and I booked 2 rooms and arrived around 11am and was told to come back at 12pm as that was the check-in time. We went for lunch and came back near 1pm and our non-smoking room was still not ready. We were given an upgrade but smoking rooms and the moment we got in, we quickly got out as the room was terribly smoky! We went down to the reception again and was told to come back at 3pm as the non smoking rooms were not cleaned yet! We came back at 3pm and alas, the rooms were still not ready! There was not a word of apology and altough I told them that my child needs to rest and have his milk, they did not try to arrange for alternative. At last, we went on the rest of our itinerary and came back at 9pm. We were given rooms on the 6th floor, 1 of which had terrible smell as if from the kitchen. We made a complaint and a manager came up and sniffed the room as if he was looking for drugs! He also asked where was the potpourri that was supposed to be on the writing desk and when we said that there wasn't any when we checked in, he looked as if he suspected that we stole it! As we were very tired, we told him that it was ok but he came back after 40 mins with another jar of potpourri! Location of hotel is good but you will need to be prepared to hear noise from the road which never sleeps!

The Wanchai Metropark (there are several other Metropark hotels within Hong Kong) is well located for sightseeing on Hong Kong Island. It is an easy walk to the Peak Tram start and the trams run very close to the hotel giving you easy access to most parts of the Kowloon facing parts of the island. The MTR station is close by which gives you easy access to Kowloon and the New Territories.

i really enjoyed my stay here ,the staff are really nice and they even upgraded me on arrival !!,the hotel is close to the MRT ,so its so easy to get around !!,the location is good and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance !!the price was really good and i would definitely stay here again

My staying in this hotel was good.The room are nice and clean; next time I'd like to try Ladies room.Anyway I didn't spend a lot of time in the room , I just slept there owing to my business plans and dinners with customers and agents.The location is ok to get to Exhibition Convetion Center and to reach the MTR . i hope the Hotel made good prices for frequent clients !

check in was quick and easy, staff very helpful and ready to answer questions. reception was smart and bright, rooms clean and well equipped apart from there being no drawers to store clothers, not sure how they forgot that..... overall i thought it was good value for money, would stay there again if i was visiting hong kong, and recommend it at the price
