Very good location and new decoration.
Staff very friendly. Ask for non-smokers bedroom, specially if you are considering staying in a "comfort" room. Bedrooms are small and smelly. I have stayed at Metropark Wanchai several times and i believe that is one of the best hotels to stay if you consider the relation price quality. The location is great (near the MTR, bus stations, walking distance of the ferry to Kowloon) and you can walk around and see the most beautiful skycrapers in Hong Kong (BOC Building, Lippo Towers, etc). You are also five minutes walk from Pacific Place and ten minutes walk from Victoria'a Peek tram. Also, the location of the hotel allows you to enjoy "happy hours" in a walking distance.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Actually, you can shop, dine in nice restaurants, enjoy the nightlife and sightseeing. The location is really great!

Good location....Clean rooms... everything was pretty good. I stayed there for one night. Went to the Hong Kong Sevens. The location was great, the rooms were nice, and the price was pretty good. And that's all I was looking for so it was a great stay.

Staff are helpful and are making a genuine effort to get ahead of the numerous peer hotels. Location conveniently located just two metro stops away from the financial district. Noisy rooms. Breakfast is mediocre at best. This hotel is ok, but not 4 stars quality. Rooms are quite spacious and service is top.
Hotel Feature Tip : Nancy R on 02 mar 2009 wrote an excellent tip: take the free shuttle bus from Hong Kong station and tell the driver you need to get off at Empire hotel.

Hotel front and rooms are very cool design. The hotel is in the centre of Wanchai, where is very convenient for business. I satyed at hotel for business and within 10min, reach for the convention centre. The good price and newly renovated room is very reasonable among the hotels in Wanchai. The hospitality of reception is also smart. But the wall of room is a little thin and maybe you can hear the chat or TV sound if they are big.

On arrival found that my traveling partner and I were upgraded. Free (very) high-speed Internet along with a friendly front desk staff. Close to MTR and easy to get taxi's as well. Wan Chai is seen as known by locals as a bit of a "red light" district, but one never feels uncomfortable or unsafe. Had a wonderful time at this hotel. As one enters the lobby area there is an imeadiate feel of cleanliness and well placed decor. The hotel is 2 short stops from Central, where one can then travel to pretty much anywhere in the HK area. Taxi rides to Central are cheap and always available, no matter what time of the day.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get yourself an Octopus card at the MTR. You can put HK$150 on the card which will then debit from it for each of your trips (be it with MTR / bus / certain entrances / Peak tram etc etc) whilst on your stay. Whatever you don't use you can reclaim when returning your card at the end of your trip.

friendly and helpfull staff We had a good stay in the hotel, it is located in the hart of wan chai. Metro is less than 5 minute walk, there are seome great restaurants in the neighbourhood. We liked very much "UNO MAS" a new stylish tapas bar, and the PAWN also a nice restaurant both within 2 minutes walk. The hotel is very clean,also the rooms are unpecabel. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. We had a free upgrade and our room was for Hong kong terms very spacious, we even had a desk in the room and used the internet. They have also two pc's with free internet in the lobby. Hong kong is not a city to spend your days in your room, so to rest and relax it's a good hotel.

Location, Helpful staffs, Room condition, Value for money I had three nights in this hotel. This can be a good choice for every traveller. It is located very close to Wanchai station and very is to travel anywhere. Hotel staffs were very kind and helpful. Room condition is the same with pictures in their website. I was really satisfied with this hotel.

I quite impressed about the hotel especially their services, location and price. The design is also great.
I will definitely stay with them again in my coming trips. The staffs are really nice and helpful.Also, they have lady 's section for single lady traveler as well.. Hotel Feature Tip : Lady's room is also available for this hotel.

Good value for money.
Great location for fair. Staff was helpful, rooms very clean though a bit small. Dinner buffet and breakfast are acceptable. Location to go to fair is great. Just 10 min walking.

the room was in good shape and very clean My daughter and I experienced 2 weaknesses:
On 4 days we ran out of toilet paper because the roll from the previous day was not quite enough.
The one day I ate breakfast in the restaurant I left my table to only get orange juice and a worker removed my whole brakfast and threw it away with such a tempo that I couldn´t stop her in time and had to go get everything again. Also I did not like waiting for a coffee refill at breakfast. We then used room service for breakfast. Room service was very good. My eleven day stay at the Metropark Hotel Wan Chai was a positive experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was in excellent condition and very clean. The beds were comfortable and didn´t squeak etc. It was important for me to have internet access. The location was good. The price was good. Small things made a difference, for example,I enjoyed the pleasant music that played in the lift area.

Relatively close to the metro and trams and with lots of restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. Shopping is also right around the corner. Can be quite noisy. Some of the bars in the neighbourhood are of the go-go variety, which may not be suitable to all. The location is good and the rooms are clean, modern and well furnished, although they may be on the small side. But after all, you are not in HK to sit in a hotel room.
Didn't try the restaurant as there are so many other options around.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The tram stops just up the road - Hennesy - and is a better way of getting to Central than going back to the Metro.

Good location, convenient, polite, clean, quiet with view. no description of the entire facility, wait for my luggage too long. In all, this hotel is worth the money. It's so convenient that you can easily eat at the corner and get to anywhere you want to be in the city. The staff were helpful, the place was clean, the only minus is I can't find any description of what they offer besides staying over.

The mattress is very hard which is quite uncomfortable and the aircon temperature is freezing though I have tuned it to 26 degrees. The only saving grace is the location of the hotel and the room rate which is very reasonable considered that it's on hongkong island and just 1 MTR away from the shopping belt
