Decent stay at the Wanchai
good location, good price,
6.3
This is a good reliable hotel in a good location at a decent price. I've have stayed here a few times and I have never had any problems. If you are looking for something special I would look elsewhere, but if you don't really care about extras at the hotel this is the place to stay.

Great Hotel! Great Staff! Great Location!
Location directly in the WanChai District. Staff is excellent! Room size large by HK standards. Airport Shuttle Bus stops aside the hotel.
9.3
I really like this hotel. Located directly in the WanChai nightlife district. The Staff is well trained and very helpful. Ask for a room on the "quiet" side of the hotel - otherwise the noise from the late night bars will be obnoxious. The staff will cooperate with most any request. There are several stairs between the registration desk and the elevators, but the staff is very attentive to help with luggage. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I wish the internet access were free - it's not - but most hotels in HK still charge for internet access. I really like this hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
Get an Octopus Card early in your visit to Hong Kong. Can be purchased at any 7-11 and used at everything from The Star Ferry to the MTR to the Airport Express to McDonald's (not accepted in taxi's though). A MUST visit is Dusk-till-Dawn on Jaffee Road - many expats - cold beer - and the bands are EXCELLENT!

The hotel has a very good location for the day and night life. Many buses routes pass in the hotel road, including the airport bus. The MRT is nearby. There are many restaurants in this area, and some very good. If you like night life, it is the place! The staff was very nice, they did the room upgrade without we have asked! The room was confortable, big and clean. But the noise of the busy road that you could hear during the night was a nightmare. If you have a light sleep do not stay here.

Good hotel, frienlt staff in the heart of Wanchai
Excellent location, clean, good service, broadband access in rooms.
7.3
Tidy hotel, clean room. It was recently renovated. The location is excellent. For work, it is only minutes from HK central. For shopping it is walking distance from some shopping areas (Causeway Bay and Admiralty). It is within walking distance of HK Exhibition centre and Ferry to Kowloon. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good hotel to stay in Hong Kong.
Travel tip:
Wanchai is an area close to numerous attractions. Catch a tram to central (almost opposite the hotel) to the right or to Causeway Bay to the left. Alternatively admiralty and central are within walking distance. Similarly, can walk to Causeway Bay in 30 minutes and get to see numerous small shops and little markets on the way. Causeway Bay and Times Square are of most popular shopping and dining areas in HK. Computer market is not far away (to the left on Hennessey Rd). Take a walk through the walking bridges to exhibition centre and shops then catch the Star Ferry to Kowloon. In brief, there is plenty to do close by.

Functional...
Good location.
Satisfactory sized rooms.
Functional.
6.7
Good location. To MTR, out of hotel, turn left - straight on.
If you don't mind a nice walk, it's nice towards Peak station & Central. Out of hotel, turn right - straight on. To Wanchai market & Ovolouge (Fusion restaurant) - out of hotel, turn left. At first light junction, go right across the street from the hotel.
The hotel is generally clean and the room size if ok for a HK hotel.

Well I was impressed with the quality of the staff, service and the rooms. As we all know HK can be very expensive for hotel accomodation. Anything really nice can cost upwards of $180USD... Metropak is well priced and offers good value. I would recommend it for families on a budget as well as business travels who have to watch there expenses. "SAFE MONEY ON THE HOTEL EAT BETTER FOOD'!
Restaurant Tip:
FOOK LUM RESTURANT ABOUT 40 METERS AWAY HAS GREAT DIMSUM AND VERY GOOD PRICE. BEST ALTERNATIVE TO A GREAT BREAKFAST.
