An enjoyable stay in Wanchai

This is the third stay for me at the MetroPark and it has delivered a consistent good experience. The check in/ out is effecient and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. I was surprised the the desk agent remember my name and greeted me upon my arrival. A nice touch.
The rooms are spacious and clean and the showers are great. Breakfast is not include, but they give you a coupon upon check-in that makes the price worth it. The location in Wanchai is close to everything and I will continue to use this hotel as long as they don't price themselves out of the market. A great value!!

I upgraded my room to a junior suite on this trip and it was really a treat. The suites are spacious and the decor modern. I enjoyed the extra space and as it turns out had some friends join me for a drink in the room, so it was needed. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and I appreciate their help for local recommendations. This is my favorite hotel in Wanchai and for the money is a great value.

The MetroPark Wanchai is a good business hotel. There is no pool, gym or even a good view. Look outside your hotel window and you'll see the skyscrapper next door. The MTR station is not too far from you, less than a 10 minute walk. The size of the basic room is on par with other hotels in Asia. I did recieve an upgrade upon request. The location of the hotel is very convenient. It's right there in the red light district; so bars, strip clubs, discos and restaurants are just around the corner. Unfortunately, a building was being renovated right next door, so I woke up to the loud banging of construction. I would definitely stay at the MetroPark Wanchai again if I were to stay in Wanchai.
Restaurant Tip:
The Flying Pan is not far from the hotel, just around the corner and down the street. It's above the Mes Amis bar. Stop by for a 24hrs Western style diner if you get tired of the local food.

HK hotels are a real hit or miss affair and generally in Wanchai it's miss.
However Metropark seems to be a good hotel. I only spent one night there but the staff were friendly and courteous ( unlike the Wharney hotel where the staff are just plain rude). The rooms are clean, well appointed. Location is good right in central Wanchai.
The only fault I could give is that there is not bottles wtaer in the room but hey this is HK.. a convienience store is always less than a block away and bottled wtaer costs a fraction there compared to what the hotel would charge.
I try it again next week when Im back in HK but certainly didnt walk away thinking " never again"

Be frank, this is a good place and location to stay in. It's very convenient for all the transportation even to airport, Airport shuttle bus is just opposite the road, which located in front of The Empire hotel. Metropark Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I sincerely thank you about the upgrading services they ve provided. My flight was scheduled at night. Hotel allowed us to stay until 2pm even in actual fact check out time is at 12pm. Good stay and i will recommend others for this hotel in future.

Nice rooms, although in common with hotels in the central district, not so spacious
Rooms are clean and well arranged.
Very handy if attending the conference centre, which is only 10 minutes away by the overhead walk way
Staff in general are very efficient with incoming messages, however , one small grumble i had was that when they sent a fax, they did not inform me that it could not be delivered until the next day
this was annoying, as when i found out on departure, it was to late to do anything about it

Good hotel for the money. Very clean, recently renovated. Room was small but comfortable. Good bathroom. Internet available at room, but the price for internet is high. Hotel is good located - near of metro station. All around there is many small chinese restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful, speak english good.

This is now my preferred choice of hotel in HK
Great location, with all forms of public transport right outside. Plenty of activity in the area with many bars and restaurants available almost 24 hours a day.

The Metropark Wanchai is another reincarnation of various hotels which have existed on this site for many years. They have made a good job of the renovation this time, and the result is a nice hotel for the price you pay. Clearly, a lot of thought has gone into the rooms, which have everything you need for a short stay.
Travel tip:
For a great late-night snack of kebabs and other Middle-Eastern food, try Ebeneezer's right behind the hotel in Lockhart Road.

Great Location in Wanchai

The Metropark Wanchai has a terrific location for those who want the local nightlife of bars and pubs of the area. It is only a 5-10 min walk to the MTR at Wanchai and you can be into Central or Kowloon for shopping trips in no time at all. The rooms were a decent size for a Hong Kong hotel, and the level of cleanliness was expected of a 4star hotel. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't eat breakfast at the hotel - there is plenty of good cafes in the local area which are quite inexpensive.
