Always a good stay
Great Wanchai location, surrounded by restaurants and bars, near to the metro, easy access to Central/Admiralty, clean and comfortable rooms
8.7
This is a solid hotel if you can live without some of the frills of the large, five star affairs. The rooms are big, clean, and modern, the location is great, and the price is right. A very convenient stay.

good place
newly renovated, quite modern equipped, decent size room for this price range and bearing in mind it's HK, good location for night life
8
Stay was good, clean and modern equipped room, bathroom shows signs of age, had an upgraded room, so size was alright by HK standard. Chose it for price and location, walking distance to all of Wanchai's night life and an easy taxi ride to central, would stay again for same pricing, overall good value for money
Travel tip:
If no taxis around, walk one block and take the tram, good experience

Great Hotel!
Nicely renovated and well priced for the Wan Chai area.
8.7
Nicely renovated and well priced for the Wan Chai area. Good location. The new fit out is very nice. Would definitely return and have recommended the hotel to friends who have also enjoyed it. Rooms were a good size with modern facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an incident where we ran out of cash and could not pay the taxi driver on return to the hotel. We were able to get the hotel to pay the taxi and charge it to our room account which was very helpful.
Shopping Tip:
Walking distance to causway bay (about 20 mins walk)

simple, clean, good location
very central - bus station to go to Mainland China 3 minutes away; star ferry 10 minutes away
7.7
Travelling alone it was the perfect place. Small rooms, but clean. Very friendly staff! Breakfast was also ok - coming from China you are anyway overwhelmed with the choice of Western Style options. Pacific Place was a brilliant "Sales" shopping ground and is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The star ferry terminal is 10 minutes away which is nice for the quick trip to mainland Hongkong.

Nice Hotel, great location, near to nightlife
Upgraded room to Superior Comfort which was a larger room based on HK standards. Clean and comfortable.
7.7
Great hotel in Wan Chai. Rooms clean and location near to the Wan Chai nightlife. Airport Express bus very conveniently drops off at the Empire Hotel directly across the street from the Metropark. Book upgraded Superior Comfort room. Staff helpful and very friendly. I have stayed at other HK hotels and the staff here is best for communication and asking if there is anything you need to make your visit better.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get an Octopus Card early in your visit to HK. Can be purchased at 7-11's and used for everything from McDonald's to the MTR to the Star Ferry. (The taxi's don't accept the Octopus Card for some reason.). Go to Dusk til Dawn - bands start at 9 pm and many expats there - great time!

2 days in Hong Kong
Near MTR. Lots of pubs around.

Nicely set up. Very contemporary. Room is a bit small but the neat set up of the hotel made up for it. Although room is small, i had a good nite sleep. Close to causeway bay. Lots of local food choices for breakfast or lunch or dinner. Staffs are friendly and helpful. i think is a good choice if you have a small budget for accommodation.
Nightlife Tip:
At the back of the hotel, there are lots of choices of pubs....

January 2009 - 3 Nights
Fantastic Service in the hotel from the staff, very friendly and didn't expect tipping all the time like some hotel staff. Reception knew where everything was and moved my room too when I got a single instead of a double with no problem or cost.

Small friendly hotel in heart of HK Island
Excellent location, clean, good service, broadband access in rooms.

Tidy hotel, clean room. It was recently renovated. The location is excellent. For work, it is only minutes from HK central. For shopping it is walking distance from some shopping areas (Causeway Bay and Admiralty). It is within walking distance of HK Exhibition centre and Ferry to Kowloon. Staff are friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good hotel to stay in Hong Kong.
Travel tip:
Wanchai is an area close to numerous attractions. Catch a tram to central (almost opposite the hotel) to the right or to Causeway Bay to the left. Alternatively admiralty and central are within walking distance. Similarly, can walk to Causeway Bay in 30 minutes and get to see numerous small shops and little markets on the way. Causeway Bay and Times Square are of most popular shopping and dining areas in HK. Computer market is not far away (to the left on Hennessey Rd). Take a walk through the walking bridges to exhibition centre and shops then catch the Star Ferry to Kowloon. In brief, there is plenty to do close by.

good location, prompt and friendly service
good location, prompt and friendly service
4.3
Working during the Hong Kong Fashion Week, I find that staying at Metro Park Wanchai is very convenient. Its good location means I can move around between several places within minutes. The nearby (5 minute walk) metro station also very convenient, not to mention the numerous restaurants that surrounds it.
The prompt and friendly service provided by the staff (a rare commodity in Hong Kong) also helped to make my stay very pleasant.
Shopping Tip:
Pacific Place is a must stop to buy something for that special someone.
