Great Hotel but a bit out of town

this is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and have chosen to do so because the rooms are nice with good facilities, namely cooking materials. the rooms are spacious and clean and this time round, even had a nice view if the sea! it is convieniently located on a street full of restaurants with good number of options into bus via bus.

The Mia Casa in situated in an 'off the beaten track' location - in a pure local area of Hong Kong Island, but for those seeking a very clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation - its well worth it.
One can get to the hotel directly from the airport via the airport cityflyer bus service - A10. The applies when you need to get back to the airport as well. The bus service is recommended as its a different way to see Hong Kong.
I had a single room and anyone familiar with Hong Kong rooms would know its a comfortable size at best. However, the amenities provided are adequate but rooms are very clean and well kept. Couple are best in a double and I know that they have a room with a open terrac (I didnt see it) but worth checking to see if available.
From the hotel, one can take the tram directly to Central - the tourist traps and beyond. Again its very convenient and costs next to nothing - 50 HK cents. For those going to Kowloon, the tram stops right in front of Central MTR Station.
Food options are plentiful (local fare) in and around the hotel and as above, a short tram ride brings you to the heart of Hong Kong. There are is also a 24hour convenience store by the hotel so no worries about a midnight cravings. TIP: Best of all, there is a dimsum place right along the same street that opens from 3am in the morning. Loads of taxi drivers and locals head there for supper and definitely worth checking out. Foods good and reasonably priced.
Overall, Mia Casa is recommended for those already or comfortably familiar with Hong Kong and willing to take a different route to accommodation choices. Try to stretch the budget a bit for a double room and you would be pleasantly surprised.
Restaurant Tip:
From my review, definitely check out the dimsum supper place along the same street as the hotel . Remember it opens only from 3am in the morning to about 10 am.

exceptional hotel albeit the lack of mtr

mia casa is definitely one of the better hotels i have been to at this price. the hotel is located on one of kennedy town's most restaurant populated street. however, if you wish to cook at the hotel, the room is fairly well equipped to do so. staff are friendly, room is spacious and clean. transportation is the only issue that comes with this hotel as there is no mtr, not until 2013/14, but a frequent number of buses will lead you to onward travel to other parts of hong kong.

The hotel located in an old town of Hong Kong island, it is an tiny and very crowded town. There many traditional Hong Kong restaurant around the hotel, and very easy to place to eating at morning, lunch or evening. Suite is very good equipped with microwave oven and kitchen ware, beside the room is about 700 sq feet, It is very comfortable for a stay.

Great hotel for the price

Love this hotel and the staff were amazing.
Its a small place but has many things close.
The rooms were clean and everything worked well.
I was upgraded and found there was nothing i could fault about this place.
Restaurant Tip:
Across the road was a wonderful Dimsum place but you have to wake up very early to get a seat as it is popular with the locals.
