Reasonably priced for a room so close to Action!

This is the second time I let my foreign guests stay in Mini Hotel Central. The fact that the hotel rooms were so small provided talking point for my guests. And they found the rooms, though small, very agreeable for they have everything they need. And it came with a safe under the bed. And because during the day they were away for business and they came back very late after spending time in some bars so the actual time spent in the room was very little. The limited space was compensated by the really spacious and nicely furnished lobby. The hotel in general was stylish and had a nice ambience. You simply cannot get anything cheaper with this standard within 2 miles.

I got the single room, and it was small as expected.
The bed was single, and right next to the wall, which made it a bit awkward to sleep in. But the location and price makes up for it. A bit of a climb to get to this hotel with a suitcase, so you might want to take a taxi.

Small Room

Room is smaller than expected. Don't bring more than 2 small hand carry luggages as the only space that you are able to put your luggages is under the bed. Don't like the bathroom as it had see through glass so remember to pull down the blinds for privacy. Beware of the shower tap. Very difficult to control the temperature of the water. It may be cold at first but can be hot the next second. There are also dusts on the bedsheets. The shortest way to the hotel is through Wyndham Street if not, you will have to face a very log and steep slope to the hotel which is I find it difficult especially when pulling luggages along. Staffs are fluent in both English and Mandarin but one of the staff is rather impatient. Nice decor at lobby. Rather noisy at night as there are a club just besides the hotel and another one just down the corner. Worth the price if you are on tight budget but don't think I'll visit again as I can't stand the loud music at night.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a rather small and nice ramen stall at a small alley, behind Wellington Street, cross junction of Wellington Street and D'aguilar Street. Very long queue. There's also a chinese restaurant at Wellington Street which serves Dim Sum buffet at HKD98 between 2pm to 5pm. Worth trying.

Nice hotel with noisy surroundings

The hotel location might be a bit hard to reach on foot especially if you carry heavy luggages with you as the path is upward and you need to take steps to get there.
The room is nice and clean, it seems like a new hotel. There are not much eateries within the vicinity and it tends to be noisy at night due to pubs and nightclubs around the hotel. If you are into nightlife, this hotel might be perfect for you. Those seeking a real rest might on the other way feel uncomfortable. To us it's ok as we don't really affected by noise while resting.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you are coming from airport express, i suggest you just take a cab here. The trouble getting up here with luggage is just not worth it. I personally take a cab here.

Mini central hotel have a great location because it's nearby shopping centre, mtr station, and Lan Kwai Fong. Lan Kwai fong is the popular place in Hong Kong, i am enjoyed because there are many traveler to while the time away like having beer, chit chat and enjoyed music. Free Wifi in Mini Central Hotel was convenient for us.
