Location Slightly larger than usual rooms

Reception area was small and very crowded

What a surprise to check into the Nathan Hotel and discover a large room when I wasn't even given the Executive/Nathan floor! I understand this is due to the hotel being slightly older and though the amenities do not look brand new (there was a small crackline in the bathroom sink), they are acceptable compared to the space which is such a luxury in Hong Kong. The location is just 10-15 minutes walk away from the main shopping part of Nathan Road which is convenient. In the area around the hotel, the shops are mainly jewellery and Chinese medical halls. Bali Bar on the 16th floor is a delightful refuge from the city. It is secluded and cosy, perfect for enjoying drinks after a hard day's work.

Location which is close to underground, restaurants and shops

Rooms slightly old

Nathan Hotel is ideal for business travellers. The closest underground station is just about 2 blocks away and very convenient to travel all over Hong Kong instead of getting stuck in traffic in a taxi. The many restaurants and small eateries around the hotel spoil you for choice when it comes to typical Hong Kong food. Just a street away (on Saigon St) is a tiny shop that has been selling congee for 45 years. The congee served is the perfect consistency and there are so many varieties that you have to go back more than once.

Quiet, well furnished and designed interior, Nathan Room is excellent mix of luxury and value

Location is just alright, not all staff speak good English, most do, not super cheap

Was in town for two nights, enjoyed the Nathan Room with a good deal through Agoda, really nice big TV and good breakfast. Other food was just alright, I'd recommend eating out. Staff friendly and pretty helpful. Gave me directions whenever I asked, also told me where/how to buy a local phone card. Room might be a tad expensive without a discount, normally a bit out of my price range for solo travel. Really comfortable, though. Recommended.

Located in close proximity to shopping, subway, markets and tons of food places. Everything is easily accessible. The staff is friendly, and extremely helpful. Decent b'fast buffet. Internet access included via WiFi and ethernet cable. Rooms clean, and roomy.

WiFi was weak in my room, but addressed by plugging in to hardwired ethernet; not really a hotel problem, but bring appropriate a/c adapters to support UK plugs -- hotel staff were trying to accommodate, but were out of them.

The NATHAN HOTEL has definitely earned repeat business from me. Centrally located in the heart of Kowloon, right on Nathan Road (Duh!), it sits right within walking distance of the Jordan subway stations, several night markets, and tons of shopping along Nathan Road. The hotel (which I guess was newly renovated) is very pleasant looking, the staff is polite, friendly, and always willing to assist and help, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Internet availability is a necessity for me, and the NATHAN HOTEL delivered -- both WiFi and a connected ethernet port in the room. WiFi in my room was a little bit weak, and the provided ethernet cable in the room was badly mangled, but staff provided me with a new one in minutes, which worked well and fast. No annoying login or authentication screens -- just plug in and you are online. The NATHAN HOTEL provides some great value for the money - if you are traveling through Hong Kong, be sure to check it out.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Head over to the Temple Street night market, and seek out Temple Street Spicy Crab - some of the best seafood I have eaten in a long time, if not ever.

This is a nice hotel and totally value for money. The location is great, just 10 mins walk to Jordan train station. The room is clean and cosy, the service from the front line staff is fantastic. The bell boy is always ready to assist and with sincerity. The best part is that they have now made Internet access free in the room.

Easy check in and out Good Position Clean, Light, Quiet room Excellent Restaurant menu

I like to use the stairs occasionally and found that they had Fire escape doors on them, meaning that if I went out into the stairwell I couldn't come back again as the doors could be opened only from one side.

We were given an unexpected room upgrade for our whole stay and it set the tone of the entire break. The staff were helpful, unobtrusive but polite and knowledgable, the restaurant menu was comprehensive and reasonably priced, the hotel's position gave good access to nearby shops as well as the MTR only a short walk away.

Shopping Tip : Shops close to the hotel are plentiful and varied and the nearby Jordan MTR station gives quick access to the rest of Hong kong

Room was excellent, rates very competitive, it is ideally located and the staff were a delight after 4 weeks of the below average service that is served up across Europe

We could not stay longer

The Nathan Hotel in Hong Kong was the perfect finish to a European Holiday. It is ideally located, the rooms are excellent and the staff were simply the best we have encountered in a long time. Nothing was too much trouble, service was always prompt adn they even alerted us to a minor item beign left in our room and made sure we got it back. Relaxing after a hard days shopping in the Bali Bar was a great way to end the day. When we return to HK we wouuld not consider staying anywhere else

Restaurant Tip : Check out the Bali bar

Within walking distance to Temple Street and Jordan MTR.

Not worth going to Bali restaurant.

Our requests for a particular room have been attended to. Nice and prompt staff. Even if they are not sure of the answer to your question, they will check and revert to you. Will not recommend Bali restaurant despite the atmosphere though, cocktails were disappointing. Overall, the experience at Nathan Hotel is good.

Hotel Feature Tip : Can try the seafood at Temple Street.

Clean, newly re-deco, good location and friendly.

none

It's a nice experience to stay in Nathan Hotel for a 3day 2 night trip. Even the trip was short but because it's excellent location, we visit many places in Kowloon side of HK, by MTR or just walk through the Nathan Road. The room was clean and nice decorated, compare with the price they offer, we feel this is the right choice that we made in this trip.

near MTR, in Kowloon

elevators slow

Good horel for a fair price, staff is helpfull, hotel is clean, rooms are not small, rather big; internet is OK. It is very near to MTR station Jordan so you can be in Central in 3 stops. The direct near the hotel is a lively quarter where you can find food and other things. God price/quality balance.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : near MTR so Hong Kong is nearby, Central station is at 3 stops.

Very well renovated, convenient location, big rooms!

None

It was by chance that we selected the Nathan hotel. I just liked the neon lights on display outside and the cheap pricetag. We were expecting the same old small dingy hotel rooms you'd expect from a Hong Kong hotel but surprisingly the rooms were big and very well furnished. We'll be back here again to stay for sure.

Shopping Tip : Go to Kowloon Elements and for excellent food and shopping and it's only 1 stop away from Central. NEAT!!

Location, staff

No dehumidifier in the room, leaves it all feeling a bit damp without the air-con on!

I've been very impressed with the Nathan Hotel, and in particular the customer service oriented attitudes of all their staff. From a simple hello everytime we walk through the doors to them helping us with some more difficult requests, overall this hotel has performed well. The location is just minutes from the Jordan MTR line, which conveniently lets you get around HK easily, and the room, by HK standards wasn't small at all! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone coming through HK!

Excellent, friendly service, nice rooms, good location, good buffet breakfast

Nothing wrong. I liked it all (well, except for a flickering animation in the elevator).

Our check-in was flawless. The staff were uniformly efficient, helpful and friendly. My room was well appointed and spotless. I booked the upgraded room (single) which included internet access and breakfast in the room charge. There was a very large, flat panel TV with at least four English language stations available. The buffet breakfast was mostly Western food. Eggs were prepared to order. There were salads, different breads, cheese, cold cuts, AND really good coffee. The location of the hotel was perfect for sightseeing, just a few blocks from the subway and the Temple St. Night Market, etc. I will be back to this hotel!

Restaurant Tip : Try the Bali Malaysian Restaurant on a street to the left about two blocks along Nathan.
