nathan hotel has a great location close to the mrt as well as shops and offices. it is only a 15 minute walk at most to tsim sha tsui. there are also good eating places around the hotel. the rooms are neat but the remote for lighting and air-conditioning is difficult to control because the print is very small. the bathroom is a little old but generally it is clean. the reception area tends to be very busy and chaotic in the mornings.

the best surprise was the upgrade to a triple room during my first 2 nights at nathan hotel. i was travelling with two elderly aunts in their 70s who were delighted that the room was large and comfortable. on my return from dongguan in china, i stayed 2 more nights. again, i was surprised by the upgrade to a junior suite. my aunts were in hong kong more than 12 years ago and this stay wiped away all unpleasant memories of dingy hotel rooms they stayed in before. the bell attendants helped not only with bags but with useful information on what to do.
Nightlife Tip:
The hotel is just across the street from Temple Street. That means you can enjoy simple nightlife - opera singing, street stalls selling all kinds of knick-knacks and popular dai pai dong (street-side food stalls) - without having to worry about getting back safely to the hotel.

great location, close to plenty of shopping. temple street market just across the road and top class shopping malls on nathan road. star ferry within easy reach of the hotel. jordan mtr just a block away giving you access to anywhere you want to go. all in all a great hotel for the price, would definatley stay there agai, no complaints whatsoever

great location to major shopping area in HK. A major plus it is a little bit away from the major traffic area so some peace and quiet. 5 min away from Temple street outdoor shopping. would definately stay there again on next visit.

Shopping Tip:
remember & must buy an octopus card that you can used in seven eleven, bus & lrt, vending machine etc.. very convenient. the balance can claim back once you decide to.
