Great location and worth for its price
Just opposite MTR, small room with attached bathroom
7
Great location, situated at Tsim Sha Tsui and just a slight walk to opposite MTR to travel to different stations in Hong Kong. It is a strategic place as it is near to avenue of star with about 15 mins walking and you can take star ferry at the ferry terminal which is just nearby too. The guesthouse is equipped with almost everything you need though is a bit small as expected. However, it is definitely worth the price compared to other budget hotels. Since it is so cheap compared to others, I expected the worst type of room but it turned out just nice to stay for a short trip. You could rest yourself after a whole day exploring in Hong Kong, lying comfortably at the bed of the guesthouse room, watching the latest episode of Hong Kong drama, it was truely unforgettable and most enjoyable moments at the guesthouse. With the wifi connection provided, you could search for the tourist spots in Hong Kong for your itinerary on the spot.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
star ferry terminal, the cheapest transport to central with star ferry for only hkd20
avenue of star, 15 mins walking from chung king mansion
harbour city , 1881 heritage ( 15 mins walking from chung king mansion)
** two most important things to travel in hong kong: don't forget to take the map of hong kong at the airport and get yourself an octopus card which you can return it for refund when you leave hong kong.

This "guesthouse" is in fact apartment converted to service facility and that is why it occupies a part of the flat in decrepit big house, without front desk, name or sign. Only indication is the name in front of elevator. Also, that is why anybody coming at 3am will bump to locked door with the ring on which nobody answers and attached piece of paper informing to call the number in HK. For those not having local phone this looks like a bad joke as the 15 mins overseas call is not cheap. Talking with the owner was also no fun since it was difficult to understand his sleepy voice. While you try to enter the guesthouse, only company are bags of garbage, cigarette butts and coakroaches, not counting the strange types down in dark and dirty lobby. To be said that safety is anyway not the issue as you are in HK, in general pretty safe place. Once entering the facility, offered room was real shock. It probbaly was a kind of larder as the width is barely enough to accommodate a bed which had to be shortened to about 1,75m otherwise would not suit the room. The toilet is about 0,5 m2 with door that doesnt close. Everything in the room is absolutely shabby and dirty. Taking into consideration it is undertsandable why I stayed only few hours and shifted to a more decent place. From the positive side (if there is any), the owner (after good sleep) seemed nice guy and location of the facility is central with immediate access to all main tourist spots.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Everybody used to minimal cleanliness and service standard better look for another place to sleep.

In the middle of it all...
8.3
The room was tiny...something along the line of a Tune Hotel. Very good location right on Nathan Road and all the shopping. Ferry is very close walk to HK island. Room was clean. Bathroom functional. Sometimes a bit of a wait for the elevator. Seems very safe as well.

apartment is a bit rundown and taking lift is a big issue. however the location and the price kinda make up for the cons.

Very close to shopping and parks
Close to Kowloon Park, near train station and ferry terminal and shopping
5.3
The hotel room is very small and not so comfortable bed. There lots of hawkers down the hotel, a bit noisy when you enter the building premises because of the many stores, mostly Indian selling their wares. Lots of money changers. Outside of the hotel are various boutiques selling branded/ signature items. Kowloon Park and BP International Hotel is just nearby. About 15 minutes bus ride to Mongkok or ladies market.

Near MTR and shopping centre, most places can go on foot, even
the room rather small for two person but clean enough. It is good for single or business and short stay in Hong Kong.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Near HK center pier to HK island and the Cultural center and art museum. Easy to go to everywhere in HK.

at the last minute we were forced to stay an extra night in hong kong to wait for a flight. the prices of hotels in hong kong seemed outrageous but we really didn't want to stay in the airport. finding this hostel for far cheaper than anything else was very nice. it is easy to reach via taxi, bus, or train, so that was very nice. the first floor of the building was a very uncomfortable environment, but we followed the instructions of asking the guards where to go and they helped us out. our host was very hospitable and helpful and though the room was small, it gave us the sleep we were looking for. the beds could have been softer, but otherwise i found the accommodations quite satisfactory.

I choose this Hotel because its near to all tourist spots. Had looked at a number of hotels in Hong Kong but this one was the only one that seemed good within our budget.. the lobby was always busy, but you never had to wait in line for too long if you needed something, lobby was also very nice! the rooms were decently sized for hong kong, as were the bathrooms. at first glance they were very clean but after spending time in the room we noticed there were spots the cleaners had missed such as hairs on the bed when we first walked in the room, mould under the edge of the sink and grit around the tap handles..
having to pay for WiFi was a bit of a joke, most hotels should be able to provide free wifi services, but instead we had to pay 100HKD for one hour which you can only use all at once and on one device.. you're better off going down to the bar and purchasing a drink to use their free wifi.
it is definitely a fair way out of the main part of hong kong, about a 30 minute MTR ride, after a 5-10 minute walk to either of the stations nearby. but its only 15 minutes away from the markets in Mongkok, and an easy train ride to other locations such as disneyland, the cable car etc.
Not sure if i would ever go to Hong Kong again but if i did i would probably consider this hotel again!
