- Great service, very friendly and helpful
- Room was great, but got free upgrade
- Great location, just by a thriving market
- Able to check in at 9am - Swimming pool only open from 7am-11am, and on top floor so very cold. can't swim later in day when sun has warmed the water.
- As we were on a smoking floor the hallway smells a bit musty Nice hotel, right on the tram line so it is really easy to get to central. We arrived at around 9am, without warning them, they let us check in straight away which we weren't expecting.
Some reviewers complained about it being on a market street, but it is great, really busy and interesting.
We were upgraded to a suite, so had a lounge/kitchenette area (with just a fridge, no cutlery or plates etc) and a big bedroom, with view on the street and the crumbling buildings across the street, a great size.

The traditional market on your doorstep No Wireless
Entire building needs refreshing
Pool opening hours are bad if you are using the hotel for business travel I was attracted to the Newton due to its location in relation to my business trip. For a week long stay I was also happy with the pricing. The room was large but dated and had a serviced apartment feel to it. I arrived late and was disappointed to find there was no room service. This hotel is ideal if you want an affordable place to crash for a weekend/back packing/attending the 7's etc but less so if you are staying for longer and want a place to relax in for an evening. For longer stays, there are better places for the same price available in HK.
