It's a hotel with a good price. The staff is very accommodating. Friendly.

The towels appear to be thin, cheap and very used. Their internet is crappy at best. It's 200 HKD for a week. But the speed are no more than 56K. And if you're not on the computer constantly, it will stop. I was trying to send files and it just won't finish. It took nearly a week to send files. Printer wasn't working in the business center. Doormen standing there don't even try to open the door for you. Why are they standing there in the first place? Put a DO NOT disturb sign on the door and they'll call you at 3PM to see if you want to be disturbed to clean the room.

This hotel isn't very far from Central where I spent most of my time. So it's great. There is a wet market outside. If this bothers you, then don't stay here. The smell is a bit over whelming. I find it re-refreshing to see local businesses. Fresh fruits and all sorts of great cheap items there. If you're expecting a 5 star hotel, it's not that. I do like this hotel for it's price and convenience. But in recent years, the hotel has gone down hill in quality.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The best way to see things is to walk around. Turn a corner and you can find great place to eat or items to buy. You're never far from any restaurant. But as with any city, food can be great to ok to terrible. you gotta be adventurous. If you're an American, you should check out the IFC mall in Central. Exit A IFC 2 exit. expensive but that's what you get for paying for good fashion.

I love the Market downstairs, real people not tourists. I also like the staff here. They are friendly and helpful. If you think the rooms are small, come to Japan.

the toilets dont flush too well

I always stay at the Newton Inn North Point when I am in Hong Kong. I used to stay at the Charterhouse, but too many tourists and too many attitudes. I like the Market. Some people do not like it but I like mingling with real people. Plus there is really good food to be had here. The Newton Inn is close to Tram, MTR and Bus.

Well situated, good for tourist who loves to shop bargain. Room is big enough compare to other hotels in HongKong. Good price.

Dirty Carpet, Situated in a market.

For tourist who are looking for cheap hotel with big room & accessibility I would recommend this hotel though I would suggest that the hotel should improve its cleanliness. The carpet is really dirty. I even requested at the front desk to have it vacuumed & yet they didn't. They should add more vacuum cleaner becasue the hotel staff told me that they only got one vacuum cleaner. The towels are old. If they could improve its cleanliness I would surely go back to this hotel and recommend it to my friends.
