Customer service is like 6 Stars Hotel.

NO Clock!!! I had to keep my cell phone on to find a time!!!

Everything is good; the front desk staff is very friendly. The hotel is very clean. It locates at the convenience location and a reasonable distance to the bus station and MTR station. A lot of restaurants and a big Mall are next to hotel. I like the multi-color towels so I don't get mixed up with others. Shuttle bus to airport and major MTR stations.

Restaurant Tip : Go to APM mall for good deal dim sum!

Newton Place priced right and situated close to APM which is one of the newest mall in Hong Kong. It's also newly renovated, so the rooms are clean and feels like a hotel.

Although it is close to APM, it is also situated in the Industrial area of Kwun Tong. It works great for me because I got friends around there. They have shuttles to Tsim Sha Tsui - the tourist shopping area, three times a day which I think it's not enough.

Besides what I wrote in Pros and Cons, the people work there are friendly but not like you are in an expensive hotel that they smile all the times. Newton Place has become my usual place to stay every time I went back. I go at least twice a year in the last couple years. I just couldn't find a better location that is convenient to me and within my budget. In addition, it is also clean and give me the good enough hotel feel. Like I said earlier, if you can withstand the industrial area the hotel is in, it's definitely a bargain. I didn't eat in their restaurant because there are so many other good food out there in Hong Kong.

Shopping Tip : APM is a great shopping center with all kinds of food in the foodcourt. It's within walking distance of 15 minutes. Megabox is also nearby but it will take about 25 minutes of walk. We took taxi there and it cost less than 3 dollar US.

I like the bed and bath room. Nice lobby and service staffs.

The towels look like unclean,I prefer the white ones.

Nice place with convenient transports to other different places, quiet and clean. But the location is in the industrial zone, which is not suitable for holiday travellers.

Travel tip : Shopping at APM Mall close by is a nice option for night activity.

very new and clean

surrounded by industrial building

we enjoy our stay in this hotel though is surrounded by industrial building because the price is reasonable and 7minutes walking distance to the mtr. a few food stall is nearby. the most important is that the hotel's room is very clean and comfortable because is only 1 year old. the hotel staff is also very friendly and helpfull.

Shopping Tip : can travel by their mtr whithin 7 minutes walk to town area. hongkong is a shopping paradise.

The hotel is nice for travellers who know Kong Kong well and frequently go there. It is not a busy area as it is in a former industrial zone.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : At MTR station Diamond Hill (only 2 stops from Ngau Tau Kok) there is a beautiful chinese garden called Nan Lian- easy to find and marvellous.

This hotel is away from the tourist areas but that is no bad thing. The hotel offers a free bus to Star Ferry terminal that takes about 30mins depending on traffic and it picks up evey hour or so.

Travel tip : There a great range of eating places. Good food at Chinese prices not tourist prices.

Unless hotels in the downtown areas are full, Newton is relatively far from the main shopping districts.

- Very affordable. - Just 5 min. to the MTR station Ngau Tau Kok. Then takes about 20 min to Mong Kok. You can also go the other way to Hong Kong Island, Central, about 20 min - Fresh room and bathroom (fairly recent) - Pleasant and helpful staff. Understand English. - Good Housekeeping - proximity to major shopping centers in the Millennium City building (approximately 5 min. Walk) where you will if you go to a station anymore. - Got a room with views over the water and Hong Kong Island

- Breakfast buffet was not as good (around 90 kr.) - The restaurant we have not tested but appeared not to have so much food-guests. - The hotel has a shuttle, both to the shopping center and the airport - you can also travel by bus to / from the airport to stop Millennium City. Approximately 5-10 min. walk to the hotel.

Given the price, we are very pleased with the hotel. As the hotel is so new room and bathroom was fresh. Location is a bit "off", but offset by its proximity to MTRen. We also liked the proximity of the Millennium City with its large shopping center was good, where you could eat everything in a food court. In addition, there was a very nice little restaurant uranium on level 1, which can be recommended. In another Millennium house, we found very good Chinese restaurant.

Shopping Tip : In one of the Millennium City houses a very large shopping center with shops and restaurants. We found also a good Chinese restaurant in the Millennium City Hall before the shopping center. Even a Japanese fast-restaurant that was okay was close to these houses. A Starbucks Café was in one of the houses.
