A very convenient hotel for airport and the courtesy shuttle service is prompt. Rooms not over spacious with sleeping,rest area as large as shower,toilet area.Staff,although polite seem to have limited English making transactions lengthy.
Facilities in hotel are varied with easy shopping adjacent.

- the bed is sooooooo soft. makes it hard to get up the next morning

Staying at Novotel was one of the highlights of our trip to HongKong. From the online processing of our reservation, to the warm and prompt receptionists at the lobby all the way up to our room with a view - our experience with Novotel was nothing less than spectacular! Another wonderful advantage over other hotels is that its near the airport and is connected directly to a mall! We would highly recommend this to our business partners, family and friends if their onward journeys chance to take them to HongKong, Lantau Island. Handy to Disneyland

Very handy to Citygate shopping (but in my experience prices were not very cheap for an outlet centre), the tepanaki at the Citygate food forum was great value and so delicious! Very convenient to MTR.

Perfect Choice for a Short Trip
great location, very accessible (walking distance to MTR, bus station, and even cable car ride), access to the citygate outlet mall, best for short trip... very clean, modern furnishings, good lighting, friendly English speaking staff...

I was there over the weekend (Nov 28-30) to watch Korean Popstar Rain's 2-nights concert at the Asia World Expo... I had very limited time to spend in HK and I didn't plan to go around as I've been to HK several times already... The Novotel Citygate was a perect choice of hotel for me... It's very near the airport, the venue of the concert, to places I want to go to this time (Disney & 360 Ngong Ping Cable Car to the Giant Buddha)...
Restaurant Tip:
If you feel that the restaurants inside the hotel to be quite pricey, just check out the fastfood at the Citygate Outlet Mall... There are a lot of choices that friendly on a traveller's budget...

Novotel Citygate

The Novotel Citygate hotel has clean and modern rooms. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport and the free shuttle to and from the airport is a great feature. We spent 15 minutes checking-in (not counting the wait at the line) which was quite long. There are no complimentary drinking water bottles in the room so you have to buy the expensive water inside the room. Or, you can always go to seven eleven found at the citygate outlet mall to buy water at half the price. If you have to go to the city, the mtr station is below citygate outlet mall, which is connected to the hotel. Travel time to the city is quite long though, around 35 minutes. But if you want to be away from the polluted, noisy and crowded city center areas, this hotel might be just right for you.

I have stayed twice at the Novotel Citygate on the business floor. The lounge is comfortable and offers a decent selection of food and beverages. Free internet and breakfast came with the room rate. The shopping mall is not huge but it has plenty of stores to keep one diverted and since I was in transit going shopping was not a priority. Excellent buffet breakfast. Used Agoda points last time I stayed which made the room rate a great value.

A great place to rest

If you are in need of a night stopover to wait for a flight at the airport, this is the place to stay. Free shuttle every 15 minutes, very efficient check in and out. Very modern hotel, quiet and spacious rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast (not included in tariff) We would consider staying longer if we had the time. We will be back!

Try to fit in time for the buffet breakfast, a good range of foods to cater for a variety of tastes, very helpful and friendly staff.

Very Comfortable Hotel
Comfortably soft bed. Right beside the discount centre shopping centre for branded and quality goods.

The hotel was listed as a four-star, but in reality, it was probably closer to a five star. Facilities looked new, and it was a very comfortable stay. There was a free shuttle to and from the airport. It's not near to the City, but it was right beside the subway system. The train right was just about half an hour. Besides, the discount shopping centre for branded goods right beside the hotel will occupy shopaholics for days.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a ride on the Ngong Ping cable car for a breathtaking 5.7km journey.

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights on my way to Bangkok. It's a good place, I'd put 4+ star rating to the hotel. One thing, I didn't quite realize conditions of room promotion and accepted a promoted room in a business lounge which ensued to extra 50 USD per day. The pool was good, breakfast was almost perfect, and the MTR (metro) is just 4-5 minutes walk from the hotel which helps a lot if you're in a mood to travel in Hongkong on your own. I'll definitely stay in the hotel again should I come to Hongkong.

arrived in HK at midnight, so that's why this hotel was chosen. it's near to the airport, and next to the City Gate Shopping Mall, a famous shopping mall of outlets. we took the subway to central, the view is excellent on the way to the city. the hotel is clean, the people are very nice.really nice stay there.
