We arrived at HKG airport around midnight only to learn that the "complimentary shuttle" stopped running earlier in the evening. That was one reason I chose this expensive hotel near the airport - to avoid taxi fees back and forth to the airport where I had to return early the next morning. I would have thought there would be some way they'd shuttle you "complimentary" any time you arrived, when they are only 1.7 miles from the airport and paying that much for a room and they advertise "complimentary shuttle". To make matters worse, there were very few Lantau Island taxi's and quite a line of people waiting. It took about 30 minutes to get the taxi. After a transpacific flight, it wasn't the best experience.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Arrive early for "complimentary" shuttle. It would be a long walk.

Nice Hotel but less staff to serve

The hotel is very well-decorated. Though it's far from city centre,but close to very nice shopping outlet. Also, there's very nice pool in the hotel which can be seen from the guest's room. However, the hotel should provide more staff to serve customer especially at reception since I took 20 min to line-up in order to check-in! It's such long time for those who are very tired as came directly from the airport.
Shopping Tip:
There's very nice shopping center super-close to the hotel as such Burberry, Coach, etc. outlet

it was pleasant to find that Novotel CityGate is indeed value for money, because the rates are affordable, and the hotel room conditions is of good quality. The location is convenient in the sense that it is located directly next to Tung Chung MTR station. And the free hotel shuttle was very convenient and easy to access.

Nice hotel for transit
convenient to airport, and shopping outlet just on the back of hotel.

location is great for people who want to transit cos its only 10 minutes away from airport and hotel does provide free shuttle bus every 20 minutes...
There is shopping mall on the back of the hotel with variety of brand name outlet, so for people still want to do some shopping but having limited time for go to the city, it will be good choice for some quick shopping...
Cable car located just 10 minutes walking from the hotel, can go to visit Big Buddha for 30 minutes ride by cable car.. sightseeing pretty awesome too...
Hotel room's is nice and clean, but the bath room is little bit too small for double bed room, but its quite big for the twin bed room.
Television channels are limited... should install more channels as its 4 stars hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Outlet shopping just back of the hotel.

convenient for airport

we arrived very late from the airport,was tired and ready to retire but on openning the room the first thing that hit us both was the strong smell of damp or mustyness, was too late in the evening and too tired to call and request another room. The hotel itself is very pleasant, staff were very nice, allowing us late check out and use of the showers etc in the gym prior to travelling to the airport. free shuttle to and from the airport, free internet and the hotel is joined to the escalators that take you into the shopping complex where you can buy anything from toys to clothes, jewellery and food shopping. great for a quick overnight stop. Too far from the city if you want convenience in that area.
Hotel Feature Tip:
free shuttle service is great without having to call yet another taxi!!! please ask at the hotel info counters on arrival at the airport

Great Stay
Great location if you dont have to go into the city. Clean and quite. very convenient

The hotel is perfect for anyone in transit of even for families planning to spend a couple of days at HK Disney. The taxi only took about 7 minutes from the airport. There are playgrounds and a cable car connected to the hotel. The rooms were small, but clean and very well layed out. It is a very good value for money. We would stay there again for sure.

Disney and cable cars up the mountian

The staff there are very friendly and helpful. Facilities in the room are of high quality. Besides, the citygate outlet is just adjacent to the hotel. The hotel provides free shuttle to the airport. Very convenient to the downtown.

it's 10 minutes away from the airport (around HK$45 for taxi). the room decoration is nice, different in each room. the bathroom is open in some rooms, or be separated by glass. it's convenient to get subway, 5-minute walk to the stop for Tung Chung stop.
Shopping Tip:
there is an outlet near the hotel for 5 minutes walk.

The hotel is beautifully laid out, provides shuttle bus from the airport and within a short walk of the MTR. Staff are very helpful and friendly and dealt very well with some stuff I left behind.

Very well organised about dealing with internet issues and lost property.
