A very clean hotel with nice and modern design. Location suited our needs - only 5 mins from airport We hade to wait for 30 mins at airport until shuttle bus took us to the hotel. We were very positively surprised of this hotel. Rooms were modern and had a great view. Personell in reception were helpful and professional. Since we only spent one night and arrived quite late I can not give feedback regarding pool, gym and other features. Location was very good for our needs, only 5 mins from airport and free shuttle bus every 15 mins. Further, there is a big shopping mall (outlet) with international brands just next to the hotel. Communications to down town Hong Kong are good, takes approx 30 mins with subway.

Close to HK airport. clean and a nice buffet No negatives,,,it is what it is. If you need a reasonably priced Hotel, near HK airport, this place is great. The shuttle service is frequent, coming and going. It is clean and very convenient.
If you don't need to make the trip into HK, this is the place to stay.

Clean, near a shopping mall, near to the mtr, near to airport, free shuttle bus to airport Novotel is a nice hotel located in tung chung, near the airport.
The hotel is very clean. It is located almost inside the citygate outlet where you can find products at factory price.it is also very near from the tung chung mtr (underground) and tung chung bus station hence commuting is convenient. They have free shuttle bus to airport so makes life simpler.
Rooms are clean and good size, however the room i got was meant for the handicapped and had no tub, something to do with discounted room rate. Also i couldn't avail free internet in the room again due to the discounted rate, however in normal condition it is suppose to be free. If you want wireless connectivity you need to pay. There are two computers downstairs where you can browse internet for 20mins but be prepared to wait.
The is a little far from mongkok,tst, central etc, thats a major con of this place.
They have nice restaurants to choose from for dining. However the outlet also provides many options.

I enjoyed my stay at Novotel Citygate. Front Desk are too slow during check in I like the location of the hotel because they are near the airport and the shopping mall. The concierge are very helpful in giving information. Their is a spa in the lobby which is very good especially if you are tired. I will stay again in this hotel if I have an early flight in the future. The only thing I don't like is their front desk are too slow during check in. All of them are busy talking on the phone while people are quieing to check in.
Shopping Tip : The hotel is connected on the mall which is good.

Very relaxing and calming upon arrival, staff helpful and considerate.We appreciated the courtesy service to and from airport. Accomodation/room was excellent. Afternoon tea and cocktail was pleasant, quiet and well presented. Arriving at the Novotel Citygate is such a relief after the madness of ferrying, queuing at customs, filling in unending forms, carting luggage and bags from here to there. You honestly wish you had never brought those extra three pairs of shoes or that heavy winter coat. But the minute you walk into the foyer of the Novotel Citygate you simply forget all the downsides to travel. Excitement returns and you know that the promise of a good nights rest will take you, re energised, ready for the next stage in your travels.
Hotel Feature Tip : Plenty of places to go walking, inside and outside, which is a great relief after long cramped flights.

good loctaion for outlet shopping and concert in the Asia World Arena There was a free shuttle from the airport which was so convenient. The hotel is connected to the Citygate outlet shopping . If you're in HK to watch a concert in the Asia world arena, this hotel also has a free shittle from the Tung Chung bus terminal.

Close to Airport aith courtesy shuttle service Long delay at check in due staff English language problem. A very convenient hotel for airport and the courtesy shuttle service is prompt. Rooms not over spacious with sleeping,rest area as large as shower,toilet area.Staff,although polite seem to have limited English making transactions lengthy.
Facilities in hotel are varied with easy shopping adjacent.

- the bed is sooooooo soft. makes it hard to get up the next morning

From the online processing of our reservation, to the warm and prompt receptionists at the lobby all the way up to our room with a view - our experience with Novotel was nothing less than spectacular! Another wonderful advantage over other hotels is that its near the airport and is connected directly to a mall! We would highly recommend this to our business partners, family and friends if their onward journeys chance to take them to HongKong, Lantau Island. Convenient to the shops and links to Disneyland, lovely buffet breakfast, and complimentary afternoon tea included in a upgraded room. Nothing bothered me during my stay Very handy to Citygate shopping (but in my experience prices were not very cheap for an outlet centre), the tepanaki at the Citygate food forum was great value and so delicious! Very convenient to MTR.

great location, very accessible (walking distance to MTR, bus station, and even cable car ride), access to the citygate outlet mall, best for short trip... very clean, modern furnishings, good lighting, friendly English speaking staff... no free internet connection inside the room... but you can use the computers for free at the guest lounge at the ground floor if you want to go online... would still be great if you can just access the internet from your room... I was there over the weekend (Nov 28-30) to watch Korean Popstar Rain's 2-nights concert at the Asia World Expo... I had very limited time to spend in HK and I didn't plan to go around as I've been to HK several times already... The Novotel Citygate was a perect choice of hotel for me... It's very near the airport, the venue of the concert, to places I want to go to this time (Disney & 360 Ngong Ping Cable Car to the Giant Buddha)...
Restaurant Tip : If you feel that the restaurants inside the hotel to be quite pricey, just check out the fastfood at the Citygate Outlet Mall... There are a lot of choices that friendly on a traveller's budget...

nice, modern, clean rooms long check-in processing, no complimentary drinking water The Novotel Citygate hotel has clean and modern rooms. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport and the free shuttle to and from the airport is a great feature. We spent 15 minutes checking-in (not counting the wait at the line) which was quite long. There are no complimentary drinking water bottles in the room so you have to buy the expensive water inside the room. Or, you can always go to seven eleven found at the citygate outlet mall to buy water at half the price. If you have to go to the city, the mtr station is below citygate outlet mall, which is connected to the hotel. Travel time to the city is quite long though, around 35 minutes. But if you want to be away from the polluted, noisy and crowded city center areas, this hotel might be just right for you.

- good buffet breakfast I have stayed twice at the Novotel Citygate on the business floor. The lounge is comfortable and offers a decent selection of food and beverages. Free internet and breakfast came with the room rate. The shopping mall is not huge but it has plenty of stores to keep one diverted and since I was in transit going shopping was not a priority. Excellent buffet breakfast. Used Agoda points last time I stayed which made the room rate a great value.
