Nice view and spacious studio

The unit is very spacious with a nice sea view in the living room. It has apple tv and DVD player which made travelers feel like home. The kitchen is small but sufficiently equipped to do simple cooking. Bathroom is a bit old but acceptable. The only bad is that the bedroom is overlooking a cemetery which is not too pleasant.

Small but with everything

Never been that district before, a little concern about traffic. But it's quite convient that bus station is just beside the hotel to causeway bay, Tsin Sa Tsui and even airport.
Quiet and clear, although the hotel is just located on the corner of main road, but it's very quiet after 9:00 pm so that I had good sleep for 2 nights. (but the first day they didn't make shower board very clear so that the water was excess when I was showering in next morning.)
The room is so small, which is the only unsatisfied point, but with all the necessary stuff, such as hair drier, iron, umbrella, minibar and even snak
Seaview if you live in high floor. 100 meter to shore. It's also very easy to take ferry to Nan Ya island.
Shopping Tip:
Aberdeen shopping center is a real blocks of malls for local hongkongnese, crowded and busy in weekend, you can walk around to enjoy local life

Modern hotel on the Aberdeen Waterfront.

this hotel is located close to public transportation access points and is convenient to the aberdeen waterfront tourist attractions. take the ferry to lamma island for seafood dinner or hop on a sampan for a waterfront tour of aberdeen.
the hotel staff are courteous, friendly and knowledgeable about the area and transportation options available.
the room was fairly appointed and very clean. complimentary fruit, snacks, and soda were an nice little bonus.

the most awesome hotel where i've ever stayed.
Everything was perfect.You know,the services,owners,food and facilities.

well,as you know that we are not the locals and the biggest problem was that both my mom and i can't speak cantonese.at first,we were really confused,but later the one of the owners received us and she could speak putonghua and talked to my mom very kindly.above all,the design and you know,the adornment of the hotel was very orignial and innovative.oh,my god,i was quite impressed.furthermore,there's something which has to be clarified is that the it seemed that the hotel was run by the foreigners,i mean,not the chinese,anyway.everything was made well in enligsh.i speaked english with the one of the staffs working there.you know,i can't speak cantonese and he can't speak putonghua.so this was how it went there.in general,the hotel is worth living and i believe that any guest will be satisfied after he or she stays in this hotel.i bet you may have fun staying in the hotel,trust me.

i loved my stay here... free internet, free laundry, 10 minutes from cyberport, and 15 minutes (w/o traffic) from causeway bay. i think this is my new home in hong kong....
Shopping Tip:
Best 'local' supermarket at Cyberport... take the 69X minibus...

reasonable rate. but really a bit far from the center ($15 cab ride) and subway/mtr. taken into consideration, youre probably better off paying a bit more at one of the central hotels, etc. - unless youre needing to commute to cyberport, etc.

it is a sign of the times that the cheapest hotel in hong kong avaialble through online search engines works out at around. this does not include hostels and the like, which of course can be cheaper. it is also a sign of greater demand on hotel rooms that one has to venture farther and farther from the centre in search of a bargain. on this occasion, our search led us to ovolo 100 in aberdeen on the south side of the island. aberdeen is not connected by subway to the rest of hk so one has to take a cab, a minibus or a bus. depending on traffic, allow for 20 minutes to reach central. a taxi fare can work out at around. so bear this in mind when considering this hotel. ovo works out much better for long stays, so if you are looking to stay longer than a week, then it is worth considering. the room is very well equipped with all the ammenities you need: iron, ironing board, hairdryer, etc. the bed was a queen and little room to maneuver between it and the bathroom which was comparatively large and with a good, strong shower. we got a small complimentary welcome kit that included nachos and apples. the common area on the ground floor was well equipped with a coffee machine, wi fi and papers. the counter staff were courteous and handled requests for information well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
considering the hotel is on the south side of the island, it is a good location for exploring some of the dining venues available closeby. for sunday brunch, top deck in abderdeen is a must. it has good food, drinkable prosecco and stunning views. it is located in the same floating vessel as the popular jumbo restaurant.
