Great Hotel/ Not so Great location
Your money goes far inside the room, but there is not much to see in this old fishing town

We got exactly what we wanted out of our stay in this hotel. My wife and I, new to hong kong, were anxious to have an escape from the fast paced city life for a night. The room as big, modern, clean and had picturesque views. The staff was friendly although not terribly helpful in regards to getting around town.
Aside from Jumbo floating restuarant, this once quiet fishing town does not have much to do. Instead of staying in town we ended up taking the nice drive down to repulse bay and stanley for entertainment. I would suggest this hotel if your goal is a getaway where you plan to stay tucked away, however if you want restuarants, shopping and entertainment I would suggest spending the few extra bucks and booking a place in stanley or repulse bay.
Travel tip:
Not much to do around this hotel. Go to the Jumbo floating restuarant- this was fun and a pretty good tourasty trip. After that make sure you have some cab far for the trip to stanley and repulse bay, where there is much more to do and much nicer scenary.

good location for those looking to visit lamma, repulse, stanley, etc. decent access to central and causeway bay by bus. rooms are very small but quite luxurious with full amenities. staff is friendly and helpful. breakfast is appalling and disgraceful for this cost, well below what a hostel would even offer and this was the only issue we had. a missed opportunity...

Launchpad to Shop in Ap Lei Chau

Nice cozy service apartment / hotel. The only downside is that it directly faces a graveyard.
Shopping Tip:
Horizons Plaza and the Prada outlet in South Horizons on Ap Lei Chau is a stops throw away.

I guess you get what you pay for and typically this was the case in this instance, although I had hoped for more from a brand such as Ovolo.
The room rate paid online but I had to put a HKD2000 deposit once I checked in for a one night stay, which didn't quite make sense to me. Still without creating too much of a fuss, I put down the deposit.
The room was expectedly small but what irked me the most was how flithy the bathroom was. Long story short, I found myself having to literally rinse the shower clean before stepping me.
The hotel also doesn't provide slippers, so bring your own if you're going to be staying there. The pillows were terribly soft and the bed generally smaller than most hotels.
Also there was no room service offered on the day I checked in since it was a public holiday in HK, which I found difficult to comprehend. Again instead of making too much of a fuss, I found myself walking across the street to McDonald's instead.
I can almost be certain that I wont be back here again.

The staff was very warm and welcoming, The room was prepared upon arrival. Welcome platter and handwritten card was a very nice touch. The ipod dock wasn't working in the beginning but the staff was very helpful and immediately changed a new ipod dock.

It's the most pleasant stay I hv had in Hong Kong as I check into different hotels everyday when i was in Hong Kong.The Interior design is so facinating.It's like staying in a high-end self own service apartment in Hong Kong,staff are very helpful though.The only thing that sadden me and my wife is breakfast,it would be best if they serve sausage and ham or even some noodles which would add to the compliments of this service Apartment.
Travel tip:
It's near to Ocean Park Hong Kong,10 minutes by Taxi or 20 minutes by bus .

although a bit far from central where i did business, i decided to extend for 3 more nights for the rest of my stay in hk since i loved my room with a view. kitchen was complete with stove, microwave, fridge, etc. big lcd screen tv and ipod dock a plus.
Travel tip:
Bus stop right outside the hotel. A10 bus stop to the airport is also across.

Short stay is okay because the location is not that convenient.

The service needs to get improved. Athough the package deal includes breakfast, but the staff said breakfast was not served on Saturday and Sunday. This should be explicitly highlighted in Agoda' s reservation form. This disappoints our stay too. The hotel is quite close to the cementary which scares us a little bit.

to be honest, there's not much you can do in aberdeen but there are alot of buses so easy access to stanley etc. but bedsides that, loved the place! service were very prompt and polite
