nice hotel

we arrived at the hotel at 12midnight and still the staff were so friendly to help us got our rooms. We got 2 adjoining rooms since we are 2 adults, 2 seniors (ages 68 and 70) and 2 kids ages 9 and 11. We requested the hotel staff to open the connecting doors for the rooms 2739 and 2738 and they immediately done our request. Every day during our stay, usually at 10am the maintenance would visit the room and would do the routine cleaning, i.e., changing the towels, giving new slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, etc. We didn't have any problem with our hygiene thing. We also had microwaves, personal refrigerators, water heater, LCD tv's, phone, etc. in our rooms. Regarding the food, just across the street there is a Sunshine Mall, watsons and other food chains. There are several 711 branches around the area. With regards to transportation, the hotel has a free shuttle bus that will bring you to mongkok and tsim sha shui. In Mongkok, you will be able to buy tshirt souvenirs, key chains and the like at a very affordable price (but you should know hot to bid of course!). In Tsim sha shui, you will be able to ride a ferry (for experience) to go to IFC Mall where you will be able to ride the bus 629 going to Ocean Park. Going home, ride the bus 629 again then go down to admiralty station of MTR going to central and then to Tai wa ho or Tsuen wan station to go home to Panda Hotel. From these stations you just need to walk using the footbridge to go to Panda Hotel. Mastering the "flow" of MTR stations will be beneficial to you when you stay in the hotel. Aside from that, it is a must to get an octopus card so that travelling from other places, buying form other food chains will be easier. In general, we had a nice stay in the hotel.

i always like staying at the panda when i can, it is popular with many so it is not always possible.
i like the facilities on the executive floors.
it is close to where i need to go to work & a short walk gets you to the mtr & the rest of hong kong.
the shopping center is a bonus with some good restaurants.
try the thai one, not bad at all.
i'd give the hotel a higher rating if they had free in room internet though.

Unique hotel with a cute theme

I am a solo traveler who does not speak cantonese. The receptionist and other staff are kind enough to provide explanations in English. Wifi internet is provided for a fee. HKD40 for an hour, HKD100 for 24 hours. Hopefully the hotel will be able to provide free wifi for customers in the future (most hotels are doing that now anyway).

If you need a taxi, do inform the concierge counter. They will be helping you in getting one. Just wait for their call at the lobby till the taxi arrives

A good room at a reasonable price

I had a night to kill before an early morning flight back to Europe. It was a lot cheaper than anything comparable in Kowloon or on Hong Kong Island and very easy to get to Tsing Yi station for the airport express
