Relatively large and confortable rooms, location OK

The MTR is not close by but the tramway is right in front.

I have stayed in many budget hotels on Hong Kong Island and this one offers the largest room for similar prices. The inconvenience is that you are not close to the MTR. You can take the tramway in front of the hotel but at peak hours it is cramped. The other inconvenience is the price of the internet. The area around the hotel is not for shoppers but gives you a taste of old Hong Kong with its stalls and dry goods merchants. This hotel offers good value.

Worth the money for its standard

No shopping department nearby.

I checked in to the hotel late in the evening. They upgraded us to the deluxe suit with a living room and sea view. The room was neat with tea and coffee complimentary. However, the sing bed was small for 2 persons and the shower door leaked. If you like traditional shops and restuarant, you will enjoy your stay.

Cheap, clean, good service, good restaurants nearby

Very cramped shower, tiny bed (twin), dated, laughable fitness facility

OK hotel, and certainly fine for the money. At that price in HK, it's tough to find anything decent. The room is big enough and clean, albeit a bit old, but the bathrooms are poorly thought-out, with tiny showers. Breakfast is mediocre at best. The small gym is barely serviceable, so if your morning exercise if important, look elsewhere. There are a number of good Cantonese restaurants in the neighborhood, and the hotel is right off the HK tram, which can take you to the Sheung Wan metro. Good service overall.

The hotel is located where there are no MRT stations. There is a shuttle but did not come on time. The hotel smell like fish due to the fish market. Rooms was configured poorly.

The executive floor The friendly Staff and customer service The Hotels room service and MTV Lounge

The location was bad outside the hotel No shuttle to/from the hotel Mini bar prices was way overpriced

Spectacular floor views and room service the staff was helpful and understanding due to the english chinese lost in translation issue, the MTV Lounge rocks and the resteraunts were really nice, The top floor was much better than the rest of the hotel so much that it felt like a different hotel all together, also service was exceptionally fast and efficient and after a few days on this executive floor we started to feel at home. So much at home that we decided to book there an extra 5 nights, well worth it in the end, got our visit to hong kong off to a great start , We love the executive suites at the Ramada and totally recommend this for other travellers.

Hotel Feature Tip : Executive floor at the Ramada makes up for the other small standard rooms, GO EXECUTIVE !!!

No cons from the executive floor however no shuttle service did make it hard to get around from this hotels location

Big rooms, not bad location at all, with comparison to other hotels - cheaper.

It was not easy to find the hotel. The road is several km long and the numbering system is strange. It is about 5, 10 minutes by tram behind Western Market, just on a tram stop. I would suggest higher floor. The mountain view room was very quiet, which is nice in Hong Kong. We did not eat there. You can buy some snack next to the hotel...e.g.7-eleven. And Hong Kong is full of restaurants. If you need good standard for acceptable price go there. We are going to sleep there again.

Great customer service Friendly hotel staff Good food

No hotel shuttle bus Bad location Small standard guestrooms and wash rooms

My stay at the hotel was overall satisfactory but it lacked afew key elements but they definatly made up for it by the exceptional customer service. Room service variations were good and affordable too however the mini bar was over priced. I also enjoyed the hotel's restuarants and the MTV Lounge was a great place to kick back, unwind and socialise. The location wasn't a good spot for international visitors

Hotel Feature Tip : Don't waste your time on the standard rooms, GO EXECUTIVE!!!

Hotel locations is very good, Rooms clean and good for couple.

We have extra bed and therefore its a little overcrowded. Rooms are for family.

Hotel Ramada locate very quiet area and its very good for our family. Very near Hotel is good restaurant in SOHO area and food was good and cheap. If you want travel different place in Hong kong, just jump to the trolley in front of Hotel and about 8 min. you are HongKong Stations where you can take underground and go anyplace. When you use trolley its cost only 2 dollar for local money and you pay when jump out of trolley. When you leave the Hotel and you have to go airport. In opposite site of street go bus to airport and its cost 40 dollar local money.

Restaurant Tip : Very near is SOHO area, where is lot of restaurant and good and cheap food.

Hotel is in a great location near Ferry to Kowloon and Macau.

Gym Facilities need Improvement.

The hotel was located in an area that was very convenient for travel to other area's of Hong Kong without much fuss. The Hotel staff are very good and helpful with questions and suggestions of places to visit and how to get there. The amenities are good. I found the location of the hotel to be good to buy from street merchants excellent local products.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very close to the West End Ferry where you can go to Maucau and Kowloon easily.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are helpful. The location is just outside Central HK, but it is right on the tram line, taxis pass by the side of the hotel, and they offer a free minibus shuttle to Central and the airport station that leaves the hotel every 30 minutes.

The shower is a small stall in the bathroom. The breakfast tastes OK, but it not worth US$20.

This is not a hotel for your honeymoon (unless you are traveling on the cheap), but it's as good as you can expect to get for the price on HK Island. The lobby is nice, the rooms clean, basic cable TV, the clothes cleaning service expensive (but quick in a jam), the beds firm but comfortable, the location just outside Central HK, but on the tram line ($0.25 for about 7 minutes to Central), taxis are frequent (less than US$3 for about 3 minutes to Central) and they also offer a free minibus shuttle to Central and the airport station that leaves the hotel every 30 minutes. You can find cheaper places in Kowloon, but public transit stops about midnight, and a taxi can easily cost you more than US$30. Plus, HK Island is VERY safe and areas of Kowloon can be sketchy. We went with our 18 month-old and 3 year-old kids, put the them in the room next door, and used a monitor at night. The staff were supportive and our stay was so good that this is our second trip with our kids staying at the Ramada. My daughter was even sick one night, and the housecleaning staff brought us new bed linens and towels many times one night—with a smile. The manager, concierge and bellmen were also helpful, though some of the reception staff could be clueless. They even have a little spa available for guests, though we haven’t tried it. I can’t tell you how great it is to get a foot rub at night-- after a full day of walking, eating and drinking. We usually go to Happy Foot in Central or Big Bucket in Causeway Bay, but plan try the Ramada spa on our next trip. The only weak points are the small shower stall (though my daughter liked the little seat in the shower), and the good but over-priced breakfast they offer. Room service food was very ordinary, but available if you need it. There is a great little take-out place on the street behind the hotel that serves delicious Chinese BBQ pork and duck with rice for US$3 a bowl, though. There is also a 7-11 behind the hotel for drinks.

Big rooms, decent size for HK

Location, 15 minutes tram ride ($2) before getting to an MTR

Overall, it was a nice stay. I wasn't expecting how run down the area was compare to the rest of Hong Kong, but the rooms were bigger than expected with good furniture and a decent presentation for a cheap 4 star. The Concirge service was excellent and was nice enough to let me print my flight boarding pass for free. Otherwise the internet from the room is around $30 per an hour, which was reasonable compare with some other hotel i stayed at. There was a free hotel shuttle mini bus to central area every half an hour, which was good but apparently it was quite small so would not accept large suite cases. The cab ride to Airport express was around $40 if you have luggages. I will probably stay their again if i am looking for a 4 cheap star as it was very good value for money.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take tram to Central area is only $2.

Its about a 40min ride from the airport. good location.

It was a hard place for the cab driver to find.

If you dont have alot of bags and don't mind taking the train, than the express train is the quickest and maybe the cheapest way to get from the airport to hotel. As for the hotel, staff was nice, it had a quick check-in and check-out. The view from the room was great, bed kinda hard and room is not that big. it has a walk-in shower and clean carpet. there is never really much on the tv, so try to have every inch of your trip planned. And finally the hotel offers good sight seeing tours and free transportant to ports and the metro. Over all my stay was good and I would stay there again.
