very clean and big room, located in a very tipical area, opposite the the tram 7 stop from central and close to many local restaurant ( like the whole of hong kong) we tried to eat were there wasn't anything written in english and every time the staff were really friendly so give it a go is our suggestion they are all located on the main road exiting left from the hotel

nothing really as long as you are preapared to know that is not located opposite a MTR station and you then need to take a tram ( 10 min max)or taxi or walk if you feel like it to go to the hotel, the cab ride to the hOtel was $260 HKD keeep in mind if you need to go early in the morning ( 45 min with our speedy driver )

we were happy with the hotel, clean, big rooms and located in a very typical area but close to the tram N7,the staff spoke good english and were really friendly, would certainly come back we did not try the restaurant as there are plenty around and bought 3 h of internet connection for $40 HKD not the cheapest but reasonable.

Restaurant Tip : we had a last beer of the noght at the seller located at the corner of the hotel every noght by the 7-11 that was really friendly and I guess cheaper

- good deal - on Hong Kong island

- little bit far from everything - shuttle bus to MTR not convenient

This hotel is really a good deal for Hong Kong, quite comfortable and really a good value for the price. The only problem is that it's far from transportation. Id you wanna go to Shatin for example, you need to take the tram to Central, then take 2 metros, LTR... and you're there. Would take maybe 1.5 hours! But if you wanna stay on HK island I guess it's fine.

Thought a familiar name would offer a familiar experience when compared to Ramada chain hotels I have stayed in previously. Though the staff were friendly enough.

Too far away from popular shopping and nightlife, unless of course you are in the market for dried seafood.

Room pictures from the website deceptive to some extent.... But perhaps this is not a-typical. Not at all impressed with the room. It had absolutely no pleasant view, and felt run down compared to other hotels I have sampled over the past 8 months. I have stayed in other 4 star hotels in Hong Kong within roughly the same budget which offer more modern rooms, a much better view, and a much more convenient location.

Nightlife Tip : I wouldnt suggest this Hotel if you want easy access to Hong Kong's night life. It's too far away from the popular places.

the room is spacious. It has a good location very near to macau ferry, and very convenient to any means of transportation(tram, bus, mtr)

i dont like the smell of the carpet, it looks/smells old. hoping they're gonna make some improvement or much better give it a new design. room doesnt include free breakfast.

since we just stay there for a night, its very convenient since were going to macau the next day.it has a good location and easy to locate.

Easy transportation, Clean hotel

No breakfast included in room charge

Very good hotel. On the weekend 24-25 October this hotel was not so expensive as other hotels. May be because location is not in center. But I like this location. Exciting tram ride! But street is quite noizy so please ask for room at opposite side. You can also stay here if you go to Disneyland. Just some stops by tram to Central and go by orange line to Lantau.

Convnient and 24 hour service. Polite and courteous staff. Rooms very nice. Convenient for trams and buses and possible for taxis to park.

Restaurant rather limited for a hotel of this calibre.

My stay at the Ramada Hong Kong was pleasant. I originally booked in for a long weekend with an upgrade to an executive suite. When I decided to extend my stay the following week in a standard room I was allowed to keep the executive suite. The rooms in the hotel were nice and the staff courteous and helpful. However facilities other than the rooms themselves were too limited for a hotel of this standard, the restaurant is small and plain, the bar area small and the gym too small to be taken seriously. Generally, for a short stay a pleasant stay provided you are not looking for the other facilities normally associated with a three star hotel.

Travel tip : None to speak of

Clean rooms, good value, good service, breakfast, free bus to Central, basic gym, on a lively street (specialising in dried fish!)

Not the best area Needed to get the metro and a quick tram to get there

Although a little disappointed when we arrived, due it seemingly being in a run down area, by the end we thought it was good. the area livened up at night, the rooms were clean, good service generally and a nice breakfast to finish on

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Great walk from the hotel, trough the side streets, into the Western Market, past a few temples and ending up near Soho. See Lonely Planet for details

Free shuttle Bus Service, lots of eatery cafe

Hotel pretty old

Free shuttle to Macau Ferry Terminal and MRT station to Airport. We took a public bus No:A12 from Airport alight at Water street (4th station) opposite the Marriot Courtyard Hotel, cost us HKD 45 each. Lots of local eatery cafe nearby and seven-eleven next to Ramanda Hotel. But ladies this area is not a shopping paradise.Nothing!! Not in Hong Kong Island!

Good price for the service

The physical space of the shower booth is very tight. After closing the door, you can harly breathe.

The price of the hotel is good in relation to the service it provides. My room has a living room in which the TV set was located. It was an old bulky TV. It is preferable to have a TV in the bedroom rather than the living room! The view is no good since it is in the neighbourhood area of an old residential district. The streets outside the hotel is narrow and crowded all time. The street is pretty messy. The hotel is attached with its Chinese sesfood restarant, but it is not a clean restaurant.

- Big room - Clean - All facilities on hand

- Not very friendly personel - Location

The location is not very convenient. Also very difficult to get a taxi when you exit the hotel. In the 3 days i was there i have had multiple unpleasend discussions with the staff. On the other hand the rooms where ok, the price was ok and the cleaning service etc was all perfect.

the location is good. you can easily get a cab or take the tram or bus to go around the city. the view is good and its very quiet.

the room was quite small.i was at the hotel around 130pm, the room was not ready - it took them 2 hours before i was able to get inside the room.

Overall the hotel is a good place to stay. The room and bathroom is ok. they have restaurants at the hotel. they also have a business center.

Good value, big room, quiet, very clean, tram just right at the front door.

Wi-fi with high rate although it was reduced comparing last time in July, reduced internet prices but yet it is too much expensive.

This is the second time I stayed here since last July, although the rate is higher but this hotel is still the best in my mind. Like last time, they didn't upgraded my standard room to suite automatically even I have booked for two nights but they find me a suite after I asked for, so I have no chance to review how is the standard room. The staffs are so helpful. Their services are good as usual, I'll be back when I have another trip to Hong Kong. This hotel is highly recommended to every one who like to stay with budget and nice hotel.

Restaurant Tip : At the top of Water Street, there is a restaurant called BIYI, a very uni restaurant, the only Xinjiang restaurant in Hongkong, price very reasonable, you must be there if you like mutton.

easily accessed on tram.in a quieter district.rooms suffice for the leisure traveller.clean.

sometimes difficult to converse with staff due to language barrier or my northern accent.

we have stayed at the ramada hk twice now this year, the hotel is clean and tidy, rooms are adequate and pleasant enough, housekeeping is good, the tram stop is outside the front door, making access to all districts a doddle.the hotel feels safe and in general,we have not been disturbed by any noisy guests, high floor rooms at the the front of the hotel have a view over the waterfront, but not an uninterrupted view.

Shopping Tip : circle k,7-11 and wellcome stores are closeby, within minutes

Location Value for money

Dated decor Wifi system is inconvenient and expensive

Very convenient location for the Western Harbour tunnel, China Macau Ferry Terminal but also close to SoHo and Central makes getting around Hong Kong very easy. The upgrade to a suite is very economical and the value for money is superb, a spacious room in Hong Kong for approx 500HKD is most unusual. Rooms are clean, comfortable and very quiet. My only negatives are that the decor is slightly dated and the voucher based wi-fi system is expensive and inconvenient. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, especially to business travellers who need to visit New Territories but like to stay on the Island.
