good location,close to waterfront
under renovations, upgraded room very dissapointing, small and outdated, mediocre breakfast
very good location a lot of shopping in area, close walk to the waterfront, good restaurants at the hotel, but dissapointed in upgraded room that anywhere else that i have traveled would rate a 3 star at best,no view out of room due to scaffolding and tarp on exterior renovation

location, location, location... near the water MTR, shopping. easy to get Chinese Visa in the lobby...
under construction. over priced for what they provide. mold under the sink.
i have stayed at the regal Kowloon now 10 times. It seems my only reason for this stay, is to get a Chinese Visa. The hotel itself is not much of anything. The rooms are somewhat old, the shower and bath is average and the room service food is ok. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the MTR and water. There are alot of nice places to eat and shop near by. There is a nice park near the hotel where alot of people like to hang out.
The hotel was under construction when i arrived and i heard drilling from 9am till 6pm. If they are going to do this, they should have provided some type of discount. I am sure when construction is finished, the rooms will be nice. The price is high as compared to some of the nicer hotels in Kowloon.
Restaurant Tip : If you are a westerner craving a club sandwich, a burger, and a cold pint, there is a nice place to eat called the bulldog located 5 minutes from the hotel. At night they have live music and outdoor seating. The BullDog over looks Hong Kong Island and is a nice get away.

convenient location, many shops, restaurants, park & shop nearby..facing large square/garden in the front which makes it quite pleasant.
hotel is older hotel. rooms are clean but old-fashioned , ancient furniture pieces dating back 10-20 yrs maybe.
The Regal Kowloon Hotel 's location is convenient. just outside the hotel steps are all sorts of shops, restaurants , even supermarket within close walking distance. the hotel shares a large square/garden with 2 other major hotels. it's only 1 block to the waterfront. The rooms however, tho not small, are decorated with furniture dating 10-20 years back. rooms are clean. i would say hotel needs to be renovated to be competitive.
Restaurant Tip : great & popular local restaurant across the way.

will ber better when renovations are completed
The staff were excellent and we got the room requested facing the harbour. If we required any information on how to get to different places or confirmation of flights etc. they did it there and then with a smile!!! We had chosen the club room on past experience - they have now altered some of the extras offered, but they did honour our booking with the extras. The breakfasts were great, but if you went down to the main restaurant it was rather cool, so take a sweater with you. The assortment was great and the hot food was hot - not lukewarm. We only had the 3 nights, but would not hesitate to go back to that hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Do any trip on your own - it is much cheaper, the bus is an experience and the MTR is great for getting almost anywhere.
We flew back to Shenzen from Xian and caught a shuttle bus from that airport to Kowloon for HK$90. It took just over an hour as you had to get off at the border and go through customs and get on a different bus after customs and immigration. This is an excellent service, as there is a difference of between A$100/200 on the airfares as to flying direct to parts of China from Hong Kong itself.

Guest services, furnishing of the hotel and very highly motivated and proactive staffs.
The price that we paid for is really reasonable and also the type of guests service we received and the hospitality the hotel gave us was really an awesome memories.
The staffs are highly motivated and work on our request as closely as they can. The location of the hotel is located near to the heart of all the streets mall and good food. Overall experience was awesome and I must say Regal Hotel is one hotel you won't want to miss for good services and good location.
Nightlife Tip : Pubs and karaoke places can be found less than 5 minutes walk from the Hotel.

the Locastion for shopping and night life is excellant
the cost of food is expensive within the hotel
I had a wonderful experiance at tyhe hotel. I was upgraded to a larger room at no cost. The staff could speak english very well and the shopping around the hotel was excellent. The food and drinks at the hotel are a little pricey I suggest you stick with beer at the bar. The music at the bar was a really fun experiance. I didnt need to go elswhere to enjoy the evening. I am planning to go back soon and will certainly stay there again.
Restaurant Tip : I found a local eatery place just outside the hotel were I could eat and it cost me about 1/3 of the hotel restuant cost. go explore the local area

In the red light area
Under rennovation so if you don't mind jack hammers and falling masonary hitting your window you will laughing - and also during the stay the water was turned off from 10am due to repairs....
Check in takes 40 mins with no queue as inefficient, and believe it or not check out also takes forever and if someone else has booked this for you on another card they freak as they want to see the original card!
Terrible place

food in the main resturant
we were put on a smoking floor, and it was a bit smelly
when we first got there the front of the building was covering in scallfold due to work being done, so first impression was not good, but once inside the lobby is nice, our romm was OK, but we were put on a smoking floor, and it was a bit smelly
the staff were OK, one of the room attendants could not speak any english
room was not what we requested, it was two singles and we had to request a bed for the kids
the food was pretty good

Location, guest room amenities, exclusive service at the Regal Club Floor, food & beverage outlets.
Staff lacks of communication skill in English, not so efficient.
I consider the Regal Kowloon Hotel offers value for money especially with all the complimentary minibar, laundry service, health club, internet access and other guest services and amenities. Although the size of the room is quite small comparing to other hotel at the same rate. But the location is excellent easy access to shopping center, MRT and walking distance to Nathan Road, Tsim Sa Shui with all choices of restaurants in the vicinity.
Although, the service staff especially housekeeper and waiters cannot communicate in English which is quite a surprise for me., as I remember Hong Kong hotel's staff used to speak good English.
Hotel Feature Tip : The regal club is an excellent access of the hotel

Rooms need maintenance. Cracks in walls, etc. I had a double room booking - breakfast included, but only for pax.
If we would have had breakfast as stated included by Agoda. It would have been a perfect stay, despite the shortcomings at room and condition.

Providing shuttle bus service, proper room size, near the underground.
The restaurant, hotel corrider.
I am very impress with the hotel. The hotel is located in the good area, near the underground, the harbour (only 2 minutes from the hotel). I am sure that if I have a chance to go to HK again, I will choose to stay at this hotel again.
