Underrated hotel
Despite reading negative reviews about this hotel, we still went and booked for 4 nights and we were not disappointed at all. We enjoyed our stay in our clean and spacious room. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

decent room, disappointing halal menu
i chose the hotel for mainly 2 reasons: 1. it has 3 single beds that will suit me and my family (2 adults and 3 kids) 2. it has halal certified menu in the restaurant the room was just as we expected. not that big but quite ok for hong kong standard. but the wi-fi was disappointing. the signal lost when you're away from the room door. the meal was the big problem, hugely unsatisfied. we paid HKD 110/pax - somehow same price either for me or my 3 yo child. it was a big restaurant with each corner filled with different meal section such as japan, korea, china, india. i thought the halal meals would mean all meals provided are halal, or at least there'll be bigger portion for halal meals. the halal menu section turned out to be only small corner consist of steamed corn and fried chicken. when we had problem with the wi-fi, we called for help. the staff came to our room was an old lady without any smile and seemed like disturbed by us asking for her help

Catch Up With Friends
We dropped by Hong Kong to do some catch up with friends we have not seen in awhile. And Regal Oriental provided a centralized stay for my family and I. We had a slight problem checking in (I guess due to our booking was not totally complete) to get a non smoking room. But the room we did get was a non smoking room. We are very happy with the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

Not a true four star hotel
We stayed at the lowest rate rooms in the hotel, yet this does not justify the room and specifically the bathroom's condition, It was clearly below average 3 star hotels. I asked the receptionist to change the room, and the reply was that all rooms would be exactly the same in terms of condition and that I would have to pay extra per night to stay in better "decent" room. When a hotel is a four star, I expect it to be that way regardless the room type/category.
