Attentive staff.
Great tour guide.
Excellent to have the safe in the rooms.
Pool should be open later- until 10 pm.
Need to have self- service ice machines on each floor.
Shuttle bus should run later- till 9 or 10 pm.
Internet access should be free in rooms.
Overall, our stay at RRH was excellent. The staff was very attentive and answered all of our concerns. Rooms were kept clean and well maintained. Service requests were answered promptly. We would have enjoyed the pool more if it was open later in the evening. Also most hotels now have free internet access in the rooms and that would have been much more convenient. Some of the restaurants (i.e. L'Eau) were overpriced for poor quality and service.
Shopping Tip : Convenient supermarket about a 2 block walk from the hotel.

Nice area to walk, jog, bike, shop in.
Far away from the tourist sights.
We found the Riverside to have very spacious rooms, unlike the hotels we'd stayed at in Hong Kong previously. We liked the little couch in our room and the river view, with it's boating teams rowing past and joggers/bikers utilizing the riverside paths designated for those activities. We found it odd that no bottled water was provided since we'd paid for a Deluxe room, also no robes, but those were small issues.

Affordable price, nice shuttle facility.
Unfriendly receptionist upon departure.
recommended for cost saver trip and for those who seek medical treatment in nearby health center.
Hotel Feature Tip : The Shuttle Service is really helpful and convenience.

Efficient and clean. Food around the area was good.
Too far from the city. Too many MTR switches.
A relatively easy to find hotel. You can get off at "Sha Tin" MTR station and take a cab. It should not cost you more than $25HKD. Alternatively, alight at "Sha Tin Wai" MTR station and take a leisurely 10 minute walk. The local food around the hotel was good, giving you a wide variety of traditional "dim sum" and "roasted meat". Food in the hotel itself was expensive. This hotel is way out of the city so many MTR station changes must be made before hitting anywhere remotely civilized. An overall good stay but the pricing could be better. Not advisable if your objective is shopping.

Easy shuttle service to Hotel from the airport. Lots of good Authentic Chinese food outlets around the Hotel making this cost effective. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the Rail, and mall although only a 10-15 minute walk.
Rooms outdated and lots of running repairs. It rates the hotel as a 4 star but I would suggest at best a 3 star. Roof was leaking in the shower area over towels and basin. BED IS HARD AS A ROCK!!!
Overall the hotel is reasonably good. I would suggest that if you decide to stay here avoid the breakfast as we found the food below standard for the price. Sheets are cleaned daily, however room is dated as is most of the hotel. Staff are friendly but lack any diplomats that are English speaking. We liked the location and felt safe in this area as most of the new territories. We avoided HK as this was to pricey however after good research found some good locations to stay in the Mingle on the wing or eden hotels.
Restaurant Tip : Avoid the hotel as the outlets around the hotel are excellent money for value.

Beautiful city in Shatin, great place to walk around and shop. The hotel is close to shopping mall and food places.
During the time I stayed, hotel was under contruction and modernization. I wasn't not informed about it. Got a great view for the 1st night with big room and great furnitures but the noise from the construction woke me up early @ 8:30am. The Hotel staff didn't apologize and realize it's a problem.
I stayed at this hotel four years ago and it was ok. However, during this visits, I was very frustrated with their service. I went to bed 2am the 1st night and woke up by their construction noise at 8:30am. I heard drilling and pounding on top of the roof. After I call cust. svc, no one apologize and realize it was a problem. They switched my room to lower floor on the next day but the moving not smooth. I had to complain and made the request two times to get the room changed. After I moved, I realize they moved me to an older place with very old bathroom facilities. It was not worth it for the value of money that I paid, I felt unlucky.

Riverside view.
Very neat and clean.
Not close to subway/train station.
Generally, the hotel is very comfortable and clean. The only drawback is its inconvenient for public transportation. In terms of price/quality, this hotel is a very good hotel to stay. Compared with Regal Hotel in Keelong, this hotel is far better than that one even if that hotel is close to public transportation.
Hotel Feature Tip : The restaurant at 2nd floor is good.

Location is very near Olympic Games stadiums.
Since it is the offical hotel of Olympic Games,I can feel the charm of sports even in the hotel. It has a good scene of river from the window. However ,the breakfast is a little expensive. It is quiet, and neighbourhood is not like a modern city but a countryside.

Worth staying for the money we paid, clean and staff are friendly.
Not much options of restaurants like indian restaurants. Other wise its ok.
Basically, the hotel is in good and clean location which faces the riverside and a very good view from the hotel. Good for the stay for all categories like couples, families, business travelers.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is located in town and very easy access to town with the hotel shuttle bus which they have every half an hour.

Agoda Rocks!!! Thanks for the great rates 70 percent off the rack rates!
Shopping Tip : The buses are right outside the front door and are inexpensive to get to downtown Hong Kong. Also the airport bus charges only twenty HKD one way.
