reservations was a pain to deal with. different information given to me regarding the size of the bed. i called and requested a king size and they said only executive deluxe has them so i paid for the upgrade. upon checking in,reception said that executive deluxe only have queen sized beds, only suites have king sized. i stood my ground and after much insistence, i requested for a complimentary single bed for my daughter which they eventually agreed to. whew and we haven't checked into the room yet!
the best part of the hotel is the location. it's right smack in the locals' neighborhood and just 15 minutes walk to times square. eateries like starbucks, macdonalds' and local cantonese cuisine all within walking distance.
now, on to the rooms. we upgraded to executive deluxe and let me tell you, other than the higher floor benefit and a nice view of the mountains, there is nothing else that's different from superior (i compared notes with a friend who stayed there last month). the room is so painfully tiny and worse of all, it was so dusty that my 3.5 yr old daughter kept on coughing all night and me sneezing. this has never happened at any of the other hotels we stayed in hk and for the matter, around the world. i know that hotels in hk are famous for it's tiny size but this was just ridiculous. there was only room to walk in, drop our luggage and plop on the bed. bathroom was super small, you walk in, sink on right, toilet on left and one more step forward into the bathtub. we saw a couple of guests leaving earlier than their checkout date, shaking their heads and commented, "rooms are too small. checking into another hotel."
it was a pity because the location is good but dusty rooms are not worth it. i shudder to think what the cleanliness standard is in superior.

the hotel is in the corner of a main street, but to reach the main lobby, have to go from the other street, cause its a one way. quite difficult to find a taxi during business hour (morning and afternoon). the room is very small. hotel staff is friendly.
Shopping Tip:
in front of the hotel, there is a bridge crossing for pedestrian, direct to victoria park and sogo causeway bay

Great Location but interior a bit old

A Nice hotel on a good location
Free wifi access, good service and at accessible location.

though the room is not big it is still comfortably nice for resting after a long day out. the location is accessible by the tram station which we can take to and fro whenever we are tired of walking to the mtr station.
nearby the hotel, we can find good food within walking distance to tai hang street and good shopping area at causeway bay mtr.
one great thing abt this hotel is it provide free wifi services. and i can say is overall a great hotel for its rates.

I'm honestly surprised by the quality of the hotel considering the price we paid. I would definetly make it my first choice in hotels next time I go to Hong Kong.
