I was impressed with the service and the fact that I was upgrated. The rooms are stunningly beautiful and the atmosphere of this hotel is first class. Liked it so much that I recomended it to some of my friends right away. The location is also great. Close to the harbor and shopping(Nathan Street)
I found that the system of waiting in line to check in could be improved since most people waiting in the foyer are not really waiting to check in although they give that impression based on where they are standing. Not a big deal to me, but thought it might be of help.
For anyone looking for a great hotel, with great restaurants, service and ideal location for walking distance to points of interst and shopping, this hotel will not disapoint. Granted that most westerners would probably have not heard of "The Royal Garden" as compared with other well known five stars hotels around the world, I was pleasantly surprised. In fact a week later I chose the same hotel based on my previous experience and was equally satisfied. Highly recommend it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Boardwalk is right across the street from the hotel, and Nathan street for shopping is less than five minutes walk.

Effective and friendly staff,
Nice pool on the roof
Expensive to wash our clothes
No foreign newpapers like FT,WSJ.
The Royal Garden is probably one of the best we have stayed at. Comparable with Fullerton in Singapore that is our Benchmark.
We like the food and the nice rooftop Swimingpool and spa.
The staff was very alert and serviceminded, not just friendly.
We will most likely stay here nedt time we come to HongKong.
As on most hotels in Asia we miss a Corby trouserpress.

Lucky we got renovated room and it was cozy and good. cleanliness was good, the hotel staffs are efficient, nice, and meet the standard of 5 star hotels.
stayed in the middle of winter season, we feel that the air conditioner (heater) is not so enough (maybe due to we come from a tropical country.
