Had a very pleasant and worry-free stay. Am a repeat-customer and go to this hotel because of the spacious and well appointed rooms. The breakfast buffet was also well worth it.
Travel tip:
Only downside is its location. Kinda far from either Mongkok or Prince Edward MTR. Would be great if hotel had a shuttle service to either of these stations.

it is a big hotel and a nice and big room by hk standard so in terms of value for money (in comparison to other hk hotels and hk hotels being generally quite expensive), you've got it. However, by international standards, the furniture is looking a bit tired and the design very old school. The view out of the window was terrible though no fault of the hotel.
Also, even though we didn't use the stovetop in the room, it is quite strange to provide a stovetop but without any kitchen utensils, are we supposed to bring our own like in camping?
Overall, it was a pleasant stay and quite comfortable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If coming in from shenzhen, take a direct train from the customs to Mongkok east. While slightly long, it is very convenient and brings you directly to the doorstep of your hotel.

Had a very pleasurable stay in this hotel. Rooms are spacious and beds, pillows are very comfortable. Location is good with good accessibility. Overall service is excellent!!

Fantastic Hotel with great shopping convenience

very pleasant. the staffs are very pleasant and friendly. taxis are easily available and there is sufficient and a good variety of shops for shopping. the best part is that all these shops are under the same roof of the hotel and thus made shopping very convenient. never regret staying at royal plaza and will recommend to all my friends.
Restaurant Tip:
Great value restaurant. Lots to choose from. Very convenient and the restaurants are very clean and the service is excellent.

Great location but old hotel
only 5-10 mins walk to mongkok busy streets

the hotel is located in a shopping mall with a lrt station, makes traveling easy, or if you are familiar with the bus route, the bus station is just outside the mall too. only mins walk away from a few number of famous street market of hong kong in mongkok with very good restaurants. the staffs, especially the doorman named raymond is very helpful and polite.
Shopping Tip:
there is no fresh market in the shopping mall, so if you want to buy fresh fruits or even milk powder or diapers, you will need to go on the street vendors of street shops to find it, not very far though.

Excellent hotel with optimum comfort!

Definitely worth coming back on our next trip to Hong Kong as the location of the hotel is simply convenient! Very clean room with comfortable bed, sofa, floor and toilet!

1 thing that dissapoint me is the breakfast. when i made a booking through agoda, i booked 2 rooms but when i changed the number of people into 4, the hotel wasn't available. therefore i left it as 2 people and turned out we only entitle for 2 free breakfasts.
the hotel itself has a beautiful lobby, huge rooms. it's connecting to a shopping centre and mtr station (mongkok east)

They have one of the best breakfast buffets I’ve experienced. Room is large and the bed is comfortable. We paid a bit too much (night), but it was during the high season.

Room is huge to accommodate my whole family whom includes 2 kids aged 11 & 10.
Right below the hotel lobby will be the shopping mall, very convenient to shop around there.
MTR is also very convenient as well, food is nice & most importantly, we are able to locate most of the road side stalls very easily.

the stay was a comfortable one. the service was great and the staff made every effort to make you feel welcome. rooms are quite spacious and clean.
the experience was fabulous and could not fault it in any way. highly recommend it.
Restaurant Tip:
the seafood restaurant at the plaza was not very user friendly to non chinese. we found that ordering was difficulult and only a few spoke english. although having said that, the waiters did seek help from the manager when they got stuck.
