Great location!
It has a family room option and is next to a mall

The locations is great and hotel provides free shuttle to TST area so that you can catch a ferry to Hong Kong Island and others. The hotel room can use some updating but overall, it was comfortable and clean.

I like the location but quite far to the nearest mrt station mongkok,
i like my deluxe room especially when wifi connection is included,
the receptionist is not friendly

A 5 star let Down

Check in was quick and smooth was upgraded from a deluxe to club level can't imagine what the other rooms looked like if this was club level though. Room was spacious but empty and dated. The toilet was quite small as well. Speaker connected to the tv was busted and room had a bad leak so I was changed to another room swiftly but had an even smaller toilet. Club level reception not friendly and didn't even make an attempt to apologise for inconvenience.
Wouldn't recommend a stay here unless you like the location and on a budget.
Restaurant Tip:
Use the mall for movies and food.

very near the mrt (there's an exit from the mongkok east station), rooms are big, option for 2 double beds in a room. hotel staff are very efficient and friendly.

judging from the volume of guests checking in, looks like royal plaza is a popular choice. and rightly so. hotel service is great, and the breakfast buffet is quite a spread. it was also easy to get around since the hotel is near the mrt station (you can choose whether mongkok east or mongkok, which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel).

Brilliant from start to finish

We researched many hotels in Hong Kong and decided on the Royal Plaza. Our research paid off as we had an executive room on the 19th floor with a great view. The lounge offered food all day and drinks between 6 and 8pm.
The buffet in the restaurant La Scala was unbeatable and offered hundreds of dishes from Lamb to lobster, oysters to eggs and the whole buffet was a reasonable price.
I can't wait to go back again as I hope I will.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The cable car to the giant buddha was well worth the effort and so cheap as was the Ding Ding tram on Hong kong Island. Do not miss the trip up to the peak.
Also visit standley on the other side of the Island and not forgetting the light show in the bay.

The food expo in may in HK is great for discovering new food trends and technologies.

Good location in Kowloon, close to Lady's Market and Fa Yuan Street market. There is shuttle to Prince Edward MTR station and Tsim Sha Tsui. Dim Sum restaurant on the 3rd floor is very good and not more expensive compared to other places outside of the hotel.
Hotel itself is connected to the Mongkok east MTR and a shopping more, where there are more restaurant choices. Overall a very pleasant stay. Staff is very helpful. The only drawback is that there is no free internet provided.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the Jade Garden in the connected shopping center 8th floor.
