Nice Hotel for a Family
Has a family room which can accomodate older children

This hotel is great for a family with older children. They have a family room with 1 queen and 1 double bed which makes it more comfortable. It's also connects to a mall with a foodcourt for inexpensive dining. they do have free shuttles from the hotel to Prince Edward station. The station is on top of the East Monkok station but this is not convenient as it is not on the same line to most sightseeing or shopping destination.

We arrived and was greeted by a helpful bell hop who offered to help us with our luggage and did a great job at it.This was a beautiful hotel and great value for the money.The hotel is situated in a fabulous, huge, modern shopping mall, and is in easy walking distance to the "Ladies Markets".
Shopping Tip:
The hotel location is excellent, links to a big shopping centre which is esp useful as it rained everyday when I was in HK. It also links to the mtr and those roadside shopping stalls.

we recently stayed for 5 nights at the royal plaza and really have no complaints whatsoever. the hotel is in a great location to experience authentic hong kong with easy access to the mtr. the staff were courteous and helpful and the hotel very clean. the superior room was fine even with 3 adults in one room. breakfast was good rather than outstanding and likewise with the international buffet in la scala. i would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Other pros: free room upgrade, room was very clean, staff was helpful, size of room is relatively large, easy access to mall and Mong Kok shopping area.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the hotel's dim sum breakfast on the 3rd floor.

Nice shopping centre under the hotel, that has a great authentic thai food restaurant.

Nice clean hotel, slightly dated rooms but OK!

Second time staying at this hotel, excellent location right next to a shopping center and Mongkok East MRT station.
Also walking distance to the Mongkok shopping area so plenty of food and activities till late at night especially on weekends.
Internet is charged unfortunately, and is cable only so beware if you bring iPads.
Rooms are slightly dated, with their furniture getting a little bit old too.

Room is big. Close proximity to Mongkok area like Ladies market, eateries, shopping etc..
Travel tip:
Instead of using Mongkok east MTR, use the linkway bridge to Mongkok MTR

Large Room, Friendly Staff, Great Location
The room was large and spacious, breakfast room service was plentiful, staff had good command of the English language, the hotel was right beside a mall

we were thoroughly pleased with our stay in this hotel. the mtr station is just an 8 minute walk away (there is one on the mall right beside the hotel but this is not connected with causeway bay, etc as conveniently as the main mongkok station 8 minutes away). the mall beside the hotel offered a lot of great shopping offers and also several great restaurants.
the room itself was very big (we got a family room), and had ample space for 3 adults. it could have been big enough for 1 more adult in my opinion. the staff was friendly and most of them had good command of the english language. even the porter was able to easily talk to us in english and give us directions to several places in hong kong.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Check out the flower market just a few minutes away from the hotel
