Overall OK for short stay, nice facilities
Heated pool and super outdoor Jacuzzi
6.7
Had a short two night stay. Rooms seemed old, but overall OK.
Only LAN no WIFI.
Fantastic location in connection with a larger shopping mall. Good service and easily reached location with car as well as with public transportation.
Nice gym and swimming pools.
All in all a good recommendable hotel, though i would have expected more (guess that's individual).

Impersonal Chain Hotel
Internet included in room price
4.7
The Royal Plaza is big and, consequently, pretty busy. The room was fine, clean and comfortable but nothing special. I just found the whole place rather impersonal and soul-less. I took a look at the restaurant but it was packed so I ordered from room service. Even though communication is my business and I live in China so I am used to expressing myself clearly, I had great difficulty in ordering the Surf & Turf on the room service number. I ended up guiding the young lady to the page number on the room service menu. The food, when it arrived, was delicious.
Travel tip:
I cross the China - Hong Kong border regualarly so I make sure that I occasionally grab a handful of immigration cards. Having them filled up in advance saves a great deal of hassle while you are travelling.

Hotel right on top of a shopping mall
Convenient location on top of Prince Edward MRT and a shopping mall
8
we were initially confused over which mtr station to stop by that will take us straight to the hotel doorstep as we were travelling with two young kids, three luggages - we found out that prince edward station would bring you right to the basement of the shopping mall which would be connected to the hotel anyway, and had you come in from the other mtr station on the map, you would be walking up and down the pedestrian bridge. good location for this one cause you have hotel shuttle that will even take you to the shopping malls such as dfs, harbour city (where my kids happily found hk's largest toys r us in there and host of other branded and lifestyle brands), and they upgraded us to bigger room seeing we have two kids, friendly staff, overall happy with our stay and would come back again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I had a deluxe room which is very spacious. View from my room is excellent (15th floor)Staff are friendly and helpful, security is tight. The hotel is near transport and shopping centre. I did not try the inhouse restaurant as we eats out all the time.I will definitelt return to this hotel next visit to Hong Kong
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go see the light from the Peak, take a tram ride and admire the Light of Hong Kong. Take the ferry to/fro Hong Kong and remember to go to Tong Choi Street (Women's street)for bargain

Highly Recommended
Convienient Location, friendly staff
8.7
Most websites list the Royal Plaza as a 5 star hotel however by International standards this hotel would more likely rate as a 4 star hotel. That being said, the Royal Plaza ticks many boxes and should be strongly considered for your next visit to HK.. Spacious (if a little dated) rooms that you wouldn’t be able to get in Tsim Sha Tsui, great location in Monkok (short walk to the markets and MTR) and friendly and helful staff. Highly recommended.

Great Location and Service
Really close to two main stations, right on top of a shopping mall. Good service, well appointed room. Fitness facilities are a plus.

The Royal Plaza hotel was a very convenient place to stay with a spacious, clean room and prompt service. 10mins walk to Mong Kok station and right on top of Mong Kok East station, the location of this hotel is excellent.
As there are myriad options for food in and around the station, I did not try the hotel fare.
About the only thing I didn't like about the stay was that there was no free internet in the rooms... I stayed for 5 nights so for the trip = a bit too much spent on internet!
Otherwise, I would highly recommend staying at the Royal plaza.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Easy Access to the airport... take the K5 bus(free) from the front of the hotel to Kowloon station... you can even check in for your flight at the train station!
