Great price. Good location for seeing a less glitzy side of Hong Kong.

Charges for internet usage.

Good, clean and value for money 5 star hotel. Older style but clean and well maintained side rather than new and modern, but what I would have expected for the price. Location is a plus if you want to shop in less glitzy areas of HK. Also cheaper laundry outlets than hotels in the area (Hi-Speed Laundry at Fa Yuen and Mong Kok Streets). Also a lot of money changers around (better one on Luen Wan Street going north towards Mong Kok East station). Transport was not a problem with good signage to and from the Mong Kok station (10mins away). One drawback is the charge for internet usage. Staff were helpful.

Restaurant Tip : Taxi driver suggested a popular dim sum place in Kwong Wa street, but the wait was at least an hour during peak times.

- The lobby was very spacious and clean. - Check in procedure also very fast and the staff is very friendly too. - Very good location and convenient. - attached to a shopping mall and MTR station.

No hotel transport for rent or charge.

The lobby was very spacious and clean. Check in procedure also very fast and the staff is very friendly too. I also like the room as i've got upgraded to a Deluxe room where it is very spacious too. There is a sofa, coffee table and also a small cooking area or pantry in the room itself. The hotel is also very convenient as it is attached to a big shopping mall as well as MRT station. The hotel also located with walking distance to the "Lui Yan Gai" ( Tung Choi St.) and "Bo Hai Gai" (Fa Yuen St.). But I think the hotel should have hotel limo service. I don't mean free transport, at least some van or limo service where we can rent or charge.

Shopping Tip : It is near to "Lui Yan Gai" (Tung Choi St.) and "Bo Hai Gai" (Fa Yuen St.) There is also a big shopping mall attached to the hotel.

Linked to Century Plaza Shopping Centre with cinema complex almnost at the door step, Great dining facilities, Well appointed rooms with great views, JUST GREAT!

Front counter staff need to be more fluent in English. Just finding your way out of the hotel for a walk artound Kowloon is a bit of a challenge!

The hotel is locatd in Kowloon, central to almost everything. The rooms are large and all have a view over the city. The Restaurant serves good quality, value for money food and the bar/cafe is a credit to the hotel. A HK $18 cab ride ($3US) will get you to the ladies markets and just a few dollars more to Temple Street markets. If brand name shopping is your thing, then Tiffanys, Esprit, Dior and other such places are nearby. The hotel is attached Century Plaza shopping centre - an upper market shopping centre with good prices. The shopping centre has a couple of food courts, restraunts, a cinema complex and on the top floor a late night, well priced mini-mart (for the little essentials you may havew forgotten)

The room is very big, quite unexpected in Hong Kong.

Got chased out of the club room, even though we were "upgraded" to the executive club room.

Everything went pretty good. We got a deluxe room but was told that we were upgraded to an executive room. I am not sure if the room size is the same between the deluxe and executive room but I believe it is. The only difference, I think between the two is the furniture and the availability of the Executive Club facility. Initially we were very pleased with the executive club facility (PC, snacks, newspapers) but unfortunately we were told we are not allowed to use it since our room is an upgraded room. That sucks. It would have been the highlight of the stay, and it would not have costs the hotel very much for us to use the club facility. Nevertheless the hotel is superb. The location is very good being right in the same complex of a shopping centre and going downstairs, you would get all the favorite street markets (ladies street, fish, leather, etc.). There are plenty of restaurants around the streets nearby. I took some photos of the hotel room and posted in my facebook and actually got a few queries from people who frequents Hong Kong. Their comments were that the room was big. The hotel also provides bus shuttles to Tsim Sha Tsui on a regular schedule which we utilized daily. Housekeeping was also good and observant. They gave us a couple extra mineral water, after noticing we were consuming alot of water on our first day there. It's the little things that make this place very nice.

Location Big Rooms Gym, Pool and Jacuzzi Very polite helpful staff

Drinks prices quite high

We had a brilliant 3 night stay at the Royal Plaza Hotel. From the minute we arrived the staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms are large and spacious and the gym and pool were great for when having a break from all the shopping. The Hotel is in a great location for exploring Hong Kong and shopping as there are MTR stations and markets all around the area. We would highly reccomend this hotel to other people and would stay again when next in Hong Kong. Thanks.

Location, Free bus shuttle to Prince Edward Station, Elements Plaza and Tsim Sha Tsui. Big shopping mall beside hotel.

The bell boy or concierge was not very helpful in providing information. We only found out about the free shuttle on our second day of stay. So the first day, we had to walk in the cold to Mongkok. The staff did not inform us there is a underground tunnel from the shopping mall to Mongkok.

The hotel room is of reasonable size with double beds good enough to squeeze 4 small people. Location is at Mong Kok East station and about 10 minutes walk to Fa Yuen Street and Ladies Market. There is also a free shuttle from the hotel to Prince Edward Station, Elements Plaza and Tsim Sha Tsui so it was very convenient. At the same time, you can also return to the hotel by taking the same bus from the drop off point at Tsim Sha Tsui and this service comes adsolutely free which is lots of savings on MTR or Taxi fare. In addition, there is a free airport shuttle to Kowloon station for check in which we took. After checking in at Kowloon, we had a great time shopping at Elements Plaza which also houses many fine restaurants. Hotel guest also enjoys 30% discount from the Chinese Restaurants that offers good and cheap Tim Sum. There is also a big shopping mall just at the Hotel itself.

Restaurant Tip : Must try the Tim Sum at Royal Plaza Chinese Restaurant. There's a tunnel from the shopping mall that leads you to Mongkok.

Very nice, clean and big room.

There is no free broadband in the room.

Overall I like this hotel very much. The price is not expensive and is very worth the price for such nice, clean and big room. Location is good -there is MTR, shopping, restaurant nearby. If want to travel to Shenzhen by train, should stay in this hotel because the train station is at your door step. I will recommend friends to stay in this hotel.

convenient locationon top of grand century shopping centre.

expensive breakfast and no family room if child older than 11yr

good location on top of Grand century shopping centre and 2mins from Mongkok East station and 10mins under cover walk from Mongkok station. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival since no rooms were ready, we had arrived early in the morning 9am from Uk and they were understandably unable to offer us accomadation til 1pm, but made up for it with a pass to fitness suite so we could use their facilities to freshen up before going exploring. All staff very friendly and attentive, room a good size and clean and in good condition. Hotel had been beautifully decked out for xmas only down side was expensive breakfast, that worked out each day at half of cost of room; maybe we'd just got a good room deal!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : must visit CHi lin nunnery and gardens excellent even the kids (9 and 14 ) thought it was the highlight of our trip. Nearest MRT Diamond Hills then a 2 min walk across the road to the entrance, no charge for visiting and has excellent vegetarian restaurant and coffee shop with the best coffee I've ever had.

Good location. MTR station and shops are minutes away. Friendly staff and fast housekeeping service makes our visit easy and enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to everyone with little time to waste. Everything is close by... fruit and vegetable stands, convenience store, shopping mall, train station. What more can you ask! Impressive.

Central Location - food, shopping, travel convenience...

no complimentary internet connection even at the lobby...

I visited HK in late Nov... booked 2 rooms at Royal Plaza Hotel through Agoda... First of all, let me say that booking via Agoda was an excellent decision I made, having been able to secure the best rates and the process was quick and easy. Now, as for the hotel...... its an excellent location for the shopaholics! You have both a modern shopping center (Grand Century Place) directly linked to the hotel and the famous Mongkok night market right at your doorstep... The MTR is linked to the shopping center so travelling to other parts of Hong Kong and even to Shenzhen is very convenient. After my booking confirmation with Agoda, I dropped an email to the hotel to confirm it as well as to ensure my requests are relayed to them... their reply was prompt 4-5 hours i think and even faster in subsequent messages... though they did mention in the emails that the requests (in terms of the room locations and bed requirements) were subjected to availability, I was glad to find out that they were all fulfilled when I arrived there... And a plus plus plus point for the hotel service...... one of my requests was to prepare a cake upon our arrival so that we could celebrate my dad's birthday. They promptly offered me a complimentary one. For a middle range travel budget, I would definitely recommend this hotel...

Impersonal counter staff; charged my credit card even though I have fully paid for my stay prior to arriving; tips expected for every service.

Overall a nice hotel. Near to night markets and flower streets. However, a distance away from the MTR stations.

Big shopping mall with MTR station in the same building, 2 big single beds, room and toilet much bigger than normal hotels in Hong Kong, with 32" LCD TV. Classy lobby. Card access in lift provides security.

slow in cleaning up room, put the sign in morning but room still cleaning when I returned in the evening. No free internet access is a major weakness.

close to all shopping-Fa Yuen, lady, etc no need to ride the MTR 40m heated pool is a god send for me very nice and huge room for HK standard very nice amenities and huge bathroom, even with a tub. I'll definitely stay at this hotel in Hong Kong in the future. even the airport shuttle and K5 bus take you from the airport to the hotel ---

none everything is perfect for this hotel.

this is the best hotel I'd stayed in HK for the last 10 years. Room and bath are huge. location is perfect for shopping, MTR, KCR. airport to hotel transportation is impeccable. amentities in the gym are super-suana, steam room, shower, etc. 40m lap heated pool is the biggest attraction to my family as we are all lap swimmers. We'll not stay at other hotels anymore...royal plaza is the best!

Shopping Tip : shopping is walking distance MRT, KCR very close shopping mall (7 stories) attached to hotel gym and pool have excellent amentities
