A nice hotel with a great location
Location and excellent staff
8.7
The Shamrock Hotel is nice and has a great location. It’s located on Nathan Road with the Jordan MTR station around the corner (less than 1 minute walk). There are plenty of shops nearby ranging from boutique shops, shopping malls, convenient stores, street markets, cafes to restaurants. There are 2 McDonalds 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel in opposite directions. We didn’t need to go as there's plenty of local food to eat nearby. The hotel and its rooms were very clean. The air-conditioning was working well throughout the hotel which was a relief since it was very hot and humid when we were in HK. Our room was quite small and we could barely fit our suitcases and hand luggage in the room. Our room had the usual such as a closet (which I couldn’t put my suit in without wrinkling it), desk, chairs, air-conditioning, TV, toiletries (including body wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and shampoo but no conditioner. At least they were refilled daily.), in-room safe, slippers and a bar fridge with drinks and snacks. The bed was fine and the mattress wasn't rock hard like in other hotels I've stayed in. However, our shower didn’t seem to have hot water. It was slightly warm at best but we were not fussed as it was so hot that a cooler shower was welcomed. We spent most of our time outside so we didn’t eat or use the internet at the hotel. Hotel staff were excellent – very friendly, polite, competent and helpful …especially the bell boys. They would tell us the best way to get to any destination we wanted to go to. We were offered umbrellas when it was raining as we were walking out the door. I definitely recommend The Shamrock Hotel if you are the type of traveller that only requires a hotel room to rest and freshen up. It worked well for us as we spent most of our time in HK shopping. I would definitely stay there again although I may book a Deluxe Room next time.

Our stay was quiet and pleasant. I liked this hotel very much.
Restaurant Tip:
The Yamazuki bakery which is located next door to the hotel is a great place to get breakast items.

This hotel is good value for money.

Located close to the shopping hub, TST, with close proximity to a lot of variety of eateries. Well connected since just across the Jordan MTR station.

i just like the location and the room, since we took 2 rooms they offered us a connecting room and it was big enough for all of us, the bathroom also big and clean. but they dont have complimentary bottled water and breakfast is not included.no free wi-fi access.
Shopping Tip:
its near to night market and it's along nathan road where you can find many shopping stores around.
