the location and service is very good! the room is no noise but a little small.
because during the New Year holidays, the price is a little expensive, but acceptable
most inconvenient is no wifi there, you have to pay HKD $100 which lasts 24 hours

shamrock is an old fashion hotel, both the hotel room and the service of the hotel are going the old school. the cashier and reception can resolve almost every problem of custom with incretable patience. the room is quite and nice, room clean service is availabe every day. our requestment was achieved in like ten minutes. i like this hotel, and probably booking is again when it is on my next hongkong holiday.

cosy and friendly hotel though room pretty small

the hotel has renovated its lobby and front desk which is now much prettier and bright. staffs are great and speak good english. everyone there was helpful - doors opened for us, porters rushed over when they saw our bags, staff rushed forward to press or hold on to elevator doors etc. this makes very good first impression.
the location is great - take the airport express to kowloon, walked over to the free shuttle bus and then hopped off 100m from hotel - travel is easy and quick. mtr 10m from hotel. food abundant round the corner and there is also a night market.
hwr the rooms can be better as i have stayed there 4x - the furnishing looks dated and old, the room is very small with a 30inch wardrobe, small table, stool and an old tv.
Shopping Tip:
dont use bags larger than 24" as room is small and not easy to carry on board free shuttle. buy the tourist octupus card online for 3 days free airport express and all mtr rides.

Staying at this hotel is quite convenient for the shoppers. The location is right among all the good shops. The street behind the hotel has so much foods to offer. It's also easy to get around with the MTR station at the door step.

our stay at shamrock was very pleasant. considering the price i did not expect it to be clean, comfortable and worth our money. our room was small but well kept, bathroom was clean and had hot water with tub, cable tv and ref was working. the best part was it was right next to the mtr jordan station and along nathan road. everywhere was within walking distance from the hotel. the only bad side was they did not offer any complimentary drinking water and the breakfast menu was kinda redundant. but for a 3 star hotel it was worth it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The best way to go aound hongkong is to use the MTR. It is fast, convenient and cheap.

Good location, dated decor

Can't ask for a better location, with train station metres away and several bus stops nearby to choose from. In fact, you can get a bus A22 along Jordan Rd (Map is on bus stop in front of hotel) which costs HKD$39 per adult, approx half for kids under 12.
Buffet breakfast on level 10 is limited, but the taste is authentic cantonese. I loved the friend rice and noodles, and the beef siew mai. The veges seemed salty. Fruit mix had an excess of watermelon, but was very very juicy, and few seeds.
Hotel was clean.
Biggest issues are:
- the dated decor and lack of free wifi. The decor can be fixed easily with new carpets and bed doonas.
- the lack of wifi means you have to pay HKD$100- which lasts 24 hours- and then you wait for a guy to bring a wireless router to your room, then you type the pasword into your tablet/computer/phone.
- no in room safe.
Also no view from my room- just the neighbouring building.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Bus to aiport on Jordan Road (A22), temple street market at night, almost direct access to MTR train system.

Fantastic Hotel & Accomodating Staffs

We were upgraded to a double queen bed which really made us happy with out stay. Location is perfect, just a few steps from the nearest MTR. This is my 4th stay at Shamrock and will definitely go back. :)
